But first we're going to find out from Tag why Lulu was going to be sent to an all girls school in Quebec.
"Why, Tag?" Was the first thing Lulu asked when we saw him that morning.
"Sit please. It's a rather long story." He sighed.
She sat on the chair next to me, but I pulled her on my lap.
"In the long run, Lu it comes down to Brendan." He said.
"Of course it does." She said rolling her eyes.
"Please, just listen." He said.
"After mom found out that you were checking yourself into therapy, she had enough." He said.
"Enough of what?" Lulu asked.
"Enough of you crying over boys that you were never going to spend the rest of your life with. Brendan just happened to be the last straw. Mom also thought that it'd be cheaper to send you away for two more years instead of paying for therapy." He said.
"She was that desperate to keep me away from boys?" She asked.
Tag nodded.
"Then why didn't I end up going?" She asked.
"We wouldn't let her." He said.
"Who's we?" She asked.
"All of us. Me, dad, Tor, JJ, Duke, and Brett. We couldn't bear to be without you, bab. Plus, dad pays for everything and he wasn't going to pay for your tuition." He said.
"Well it's nice to know that some people appreciate me." She scoffed.
"Of course, baby sister." He said.
"I have another question, Taggy." Lulu said.
"Go ahead." He said.
"Did you know I was an accidental pregnancy?" She asked.
Tag looked out at the now covered pool and sighed.
"Tag?" Lulu asked as I squeezed her hand.
"Yes. I've heard her scream about you before. It hurt me. I was upset, but I couldn't let her know I knew. I'm sorry I kept this from you, dear." Tag said.
"It's okay. So it's okay if we stay at the hotel a block away?" She asked.
"Of course. I'll still be seeing you." He said.
"One more question." Lulu said.
"Sure." He said.
"Are you coming with us back to LA?" She asked.
"I don't know yet. Okay, dearest?" He asked.
"Okay. I love you, Tag." Lulu said.
"I love you too." Tag said.
We checked into the hotel.
I laid with her on the bed.
"I uh heard you crying last night." I said.
"You did?" She asked.
"Yeah. I'm sorry this happened, sweetheart." I said.
"It's okay. It's not your fault I'm an accident." She said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
"You are not an accident. You're a miracle. You're my miracle." I said wiping her tears away.
"I'm sorry." She whispered.
"Don't apologize, sweetheart. Just let it out." I said holding Lulu.
Lulu started crying in my arms.
I held her as I felt her frail body shake.
"It's okay." I said over and over again stroking her hair.
Lulu eventually cried herself to sleep.
"I love you, kitten." I whispered kissing her forehead.
