LULU'S POV I come home from work and all the lights are off.
"What's going on, babe?" I asked.
"Ashton?" I asked again trying to navigate my way around the living room.
"Ash-Ow!" I said tripping over the sofa.
"Aw, Lulu. I'm sorry. I knew I should've had candles." He said.
"It's fine, sweetheart. Why are the lights out?" I asked.
"Because I tried to be cute and romantic." He sighed.
"But you're always cute and romantic, sweetheart." I said kissing him.
"Thank you, sweetheart." Ashton smiled.
"Now can you tell me what's going on, babe?" I asked.
"Not yet. This has to be special and I ruined it already." He said.
"Nonsense, amore." I said.
"Can you say that again please, babe? I love it when you speak in Spanish. Even if you only know a couple words." Ashton pouted.
"Amore." I giggled.
"Okay. I think I'm going to try this again. Can you meet me in our room in like ten minutes, babe?" He asked.
"Of course, baby." I smiled.
"I love you, sweetheart." He said kissing my forehead.
"I love you too, baby." I whispered as Ashton ran upstairs.
"What could this boy be planning?" I asked Gatsby.
"Okay, love bug. You can come up now!" He called from upstairs.
"I'm on my way, sweetheart." I said walking upstairs.
I went into the bedroom and there were candles everywhere.
"Just so you can see, babe. But the real treat is in the bathroom." He said.
There were even more candles and rose petals in the bathroom.
The bathtub was filled with bubbles and rose petals.
Next to it, was a bottle of champagne.
"You know what Ariana Grande says; you in the bathtub bubbles and bubbly." He said pulling off my shirt.
We got in the bath together.
"This is so cute, babe." I said.
"I just want to give you everything, sweetheart." He said.
"You really are the best, babe." I smiled.
"There's this question I've been pondering for over three weeks now, kitty." He said.
"Okay. What is it, sweetheart?" I asked.
"I lied to you yesterday. I didn't want to ask Tag more questions about Brendan. I was going to Facetime him to ask for his blessing and your brothers and dad's blessing. Tag said that he speaks for all of them when he said to wait. But that's just his answer. I want yours, babe. Will you be Lulu Taylor Irwin?" Ashton asked.
"Did you just ask me to marry you?" I asked in shock.
"Yes, darling. I've loved you since I was twenty when we met in your community college parking lot. I loved you then, and I love you even more now. Hearing your story of when you fell in love with me sealed the deal in this whole thing." He said.
"Don't listen to Tag! Of course I'll be Lulu Taylor Irwin, babe!" I said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes!" I said.
"I love you so much, baby girl." He said kissing me.
"I love you so much more, babe." I smiled.
"Let's complete your ring, babe." He said.
