ASHTON'S POV
Since being back in Canada, Lulu's accent is back in full force.
She's started saying "aboot" and ending almost every sentence with "eh."
I think it's adorable.
"Where are you taking me today, sweetheart?" I asked.
"It's a surprise, sweetheart." Lulu said.
"I love surprises." I said.
"Just like I love you." She said.
"You're the cutest thing ever, babe." I said kissing her.
"I'm lucky." Lulu whispered.
"Can I have a hint as to where we're going?" I asked.
"You'll have to bundle up." She said.
"I know where we're going now!" I said.
"Where?" Lulu asked.
"We're going skiing!" I exclaimed.
"No!" She giggled.
"No?!" I asked.
"I have absolutely no idea how to go skiing. Plus, it's cold everywhere so I could literally take you back to the aquarium." She laughed.
"Oh." I pouted.
"Where I'm taking you is a hundred times better than skiing." She said.
"What's better than skiing?" I asked.
"You'll just have to wait and see." Lulu said kissing my nose.
"I don't like waiting." I said.
"Well then sucks for you." She said.
"You do know you're lucky I love you." I said.
"I know." Lulu smiled kissing my cheek.
Later in the afternoon, Lulu told me we were going out.
I put on my heaviest jacket and a pair of gloves.
"Now will you tell me where we're going?" I asked.
"Baby, we're almost there." She said.
She pulled into a random parking lot and we walked into a park.
"A park?" I asked.
"Come here." She said taking my hand.
We walked up to a frozen lake.
Lulu let go of my hand and stomped twice on the ice.
"Perfect." She said.
Lulu got on the ice and I nearly had a heart attack.
"What are you doing, babe?! Get down from there!" I yelled.
"It's fine, babe. I've done this all my life. Now give me your hand. It's totally safe. I promise." Lulu said.
"We don't even have skates." I said.
"We don't need skates. Now give me your hand." She said.
I took a shaky breath and took her hand.
I stood on the ice and felt like Bambi.
"I got you, sweetheart." Lulu said.
Lulu held my hand as I shakily walked across the ice.
"This is the best part about Canada. We have our own free ice rinks." She smiled.
"Think you're okay by yourself, babe?" Lulu asked.
"I think." I mumbled.
"I'm going to let go now." She said.
Lulu let go and I just stood there.
I watched as Lulu confidently glided across the ice.
"Lulu, wait!" I said going after her.
I was picking up speed and grabbed her shoulder.
We both ended up falling.
I was on top of her.
"We're going to break the ice, babe." Lulu whispered.
"Who cares about that?" I asked kissing her.
