Rae's New Years kickback

We were currently at Rae's New Year's Eve kickback, it was small it was me and Mililani and maybe like four of Rae's friends, Cash, Jordan, Aaliyah, and Donna. It was New Year's Eve and we were playing games and just chilling. It was cash and mililani's team, Jordan and Donna, then me and Rae. I know it's still kind of weird to me. Well it just kind of happened. We've gotten close over the past three months. She's not as bad as I thought, well I'd say that she changed after Carmen because before she was a bitch. But now she's good, i actually added her to my friend list, which only contains her and Mililani. We all hang out from time to time and I actually enjoy myself.

"Ahhh! No she lying! Make her draw two!" Yell Jordan

"Yea fam, you slipping mane go and draw your two cards" Rae agreed and laughed soon I joined

"Man fuck y'all" Mililani mumbles

"So what y'all doing after this?" Rae asked

"Well I'm sure Mililani will be be with her girlfriend so I guess ima go home and sleep."I said

"How about I take you out?" She asked and I sighed she been trying to take me out for a month now but I don't know if that's a good idea

"We already discussed this" I said placing my Uno cards down and going into the kitchen. Everyone was pretty much done with the games we'd all disbursed into our own little conversations

"Why not K?" She calls out right on my trail

"I just....I don't know" truth is I'm scared. I don't know if I'm ready to let someone in.

"Just give me a shot ". She suggested

"And what happens after?" I said contemplating on the idea

" What do you mean? We dont have to get serious if that's not what you want..."

"Thats not the problem..." I said looking down at my feet

" Then what is it?" she said grabbing my hand. Looking up staring into her eyes I got lost...How did we even get here? I think to myself. We were literally beating the hell out of each other months ago, and now we spend every moment together. Me and her spend more time together than me and Mililani does now.

"How did this even happen?" I said avoiding the previous question

"Why are you avoiding my question?" she pushes

"I-Im just not ready ok?" I said softly

"All of this scares me....we got close so fast and everything is going so fast I just reminds me of so much from my past and it scares me" I ramble out

"Your right im sorry" she sighs and engulfs me in her arms embracing me in a warm secure hug. It felt nice to be held. Her arms were firm and strong, she held me with care. She held me like she cared.....

"You wanna talk about it?" She asked. By now everyone had left to venture off into the night of parties and we were the only ones left

"No....can you just take me home?" I say trying to loosen her hold on me but she wouldn't budge

"You wanna just stay with me?"

"Yea, but I'm sleeping in your bed" I say warning her

"Hey, that's ok with me, come on" she says grabbing me by my hand and pulling me towards her room

Once we made it to her room I went straight to her bed

"Wanna watch a movie??"

"Yea, go to Netflix and put on the grinch" I say cheerfully
