You don't act hostile towards a new race you first discover, no. You question and wonder what you found, not on Pavonis. Ever since the day the Sky Beasts came down all those wondrous discoveries were turned into horrific, graphical killings. I was still young when I had heard and seen how these Sky Beasts treated our world, it was like they didn't care what was around them. I was saddened while I watched those Beasts destroy the world around my tribe, and I resented them so very much. I had learned from my mother about what they did to my father and as such I have trained and trained to defeat the one who killed him. But that's not what's concerning me, lately there has been an occurrence of a curse among the widowed women in my tribe. We call it the Curse of Arae, where the wives of the deceased husbands blame themselves for the murder or death of their beloved and end up killing themselves or those around them because of it. Not only does this have a major concern over my tribe, this also concerns me. My mother has been blaming herself for the death of my father for so long that she might be the origin of the curse.

No matter what she says or does, I have to protect her and kill off every last Sky Beast on the planet of Pavonis. As of a few weeks ago, I have been taking a small group with me in trying to discover any possible ways to defeat them in a full scale war, but seeing the advancements in their weapons gave us the knowledge that we indeed had the disadvantage. However, if my people were going to kill off the Sky Beasts, then we'd have to make huge advancements ourselves. I can't lose to these foreigners, I can't.

It was another cold day, as it was the beginning of the Rudas season, and I had taken my group to the base of the Sky Beasts. Today we were only going to survey their numbers and see if they had made any more advancements in weaponry, strategy, tactics, or the ruling of the so-called "troops" they had. We had attempted to infiltrate their base a few times before but the Sky Beasts always saw through them. Since those weren't going to work we started doing these discrete look outs in gathering any information we could gather from the foreigners. As we were about to head back for our village I noticed that there was a different man on the platform, far from different he was new.

" Κοίτα."
"(Look.)"

I spoke quietly and my group came back and saw the new foreigner on the platform. He was shorter than the rest of his followers, he had black hair that was cut in a weird way, and his cold gaze told of his blood thirst of my kind. Something about him was so intriguing, but I shook those thoughts away as he was going to be like the rest of them. Savages. Murderers. Beasts. My group turned back for the village and I soon followed when I had one last look at the new man.

I was assigned the strongest and most efficient team on the platform where the helicopters and tanks rested. I was to test them as I was the son of the commander's sister, my uncle. He has trained me since I was able to hold and swing a knife, and when he told me of these creatures we had to face I couldn't help but feel sorry for them. They were the targets and we were invading their world, however we had no choice. Our planet was as good as dead is what my uncle tells me, but his way of thinking only makes me want to go out into the forest and discover what those creatures really are.

As I was being introduced to my new team I could feel another pair of eyes on me from the forest, and when I looked over to where they were I saw one of them. One of the creatures my uncle has told me about. I couldn't tell if they were like us or something else, nor could I tell if they were male or female, but the colour of their eyes were what drew me in. Those eyes were filled with sorrow and misery, but more than anything they were filled with an incredible amount of hatred. When the creature left I could feel my heart racing, anymore and I might've had a heart attack. I wanted to learn so much about those creatures but seeing that it would be practically impossible created some complications. I was so lost in thought that my superior had to shout a bit louder for me to hear him.

" Ackerman! Where is your mind running off to now?"

" What do you mean? Can I not wonder about our enemies in fascination? Why do we even have to pose a threat to them to begin with, to them none of this is fair."

" Watch who you're talking to, or do you want extra training sessions with your uncle?"

My new teammates started to giggle and laugh so I looked over to them and back at my superior.

" Alright then how about this. If I beat all of them in a match of War then I get a promotion higher than yours, and if I lose I'll partake in the excessive training with Commander Kenny Ackerman."

" That's a huge gamble you're laying on the table, you sure you want to do that?"

" Are you doubting me? Just authorize my deal and watch."

" Alright, go for it."

With that the four members of my new team tried their best to take me down, but in the end of it all I came out victorious and managed a new promotion as Lieutenant General, Levi Ackerman.

AN: Alrighty, the first chapter to this story I've been wanting to write for so long now. When I finally put this up I was like how on Earth am I going to start this, so I just went with what I thought might be good. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'll see you in the next one!!!
