Why Maddy never told me Joseph was coming and why did they decided the best idea was for him to stay at my house? I was happy over the fact of having my best friend back, but having a guy that I lost touch with because I started a new life with my actual boyfriend produced the opposite on me. We arrived home, all of us quiet, Wyatt was asleep and Maddy finally could notice the tension on the air, thing that minutes before she didn't seem to notice. Calum carried Maddy's bags again and Joseph was carrying his. On our flat there were just three bedrooms, Wyatt's bedroom, Calum and I's and the third one was the guests room, even though Calum bought this flat with three bedroom just in case we'd decide to expand our family.

—Come, I'll show you the flat, even though it's not that big -I laugh and motion Maddy to follow me to Wyatt's bedroom- Maddy! Explain to me why you'd bring Joseph with you -I say almost in a whisper, her face shows how preoccupied she might be-

—I'm so sorry, Mad. I just noticed that he's not that welcomed here... I thought you two were still good friends. Well, that's what he told me back when he was telling me how much he wanted to see you, that's why I agreed, and he told me not to tell you anything because it was supposed to be a surprise. I was too dumb, but, did something happened with him?

—Of course something happened with him. Don't you remember everything that I told you about him? How we left our friendship aside because he wanted to be something more than a friend and I wasn't feeling it, besides I was pregnant with Wyatt and already was Calum's girlfriend. He didn't come here to visit, he came here looking for something else... And I simply can't find the right way to tell him to leave, what can I do? He doesn't have family here and I can't just kick him out of my flat

—Oh Mad, I didn't know I'd get you into this mess but I'll try to get you out of it or at least I'll try to make things a little bit more easy for the two of you

We left Wyatt's room because we didn't wanted to be suspicious, there was Calum with his phone, ignoring completely Joseph, who was also with his phone. Calum's face showed nothing but disgust.

—Would you tour me around your flat too? -Joseph says, winking at me. Calum stares at him and I can feel nervousness growing inside of me-

—I'll show you the room where the both of you are staying -I was looking at Calum discretely-

—Both? But aren't there like three bedrooms? Maddy can sleep on one, while I sleep on another

Calum stands up from the couch

—One of the bedrooms is my son's and no one but him will sleep there. And less you, a complete stranger -he annoyingly states, then he leaves the living room, coming into our room. Maddy looks at me with his eyebrows narrowed and mouths a "sorry"-

Joseph ironically smiles once Calum's out of the picture

—Your boyfriend is a little stiff, Mad. Isn't he?

—He really is the opposite of stiff -I defend him- come here, this is the bedroom, I'll leave you two to get settled, if you need something you can write me -I pause, realizing something- well, I mean, you write me, Maddy. Joseph doesn't even have my number

I don't wait for an answer and leave the room, coming into our bedroom where Wyatt was asleep and Calum laying down on the bed; already undressed and with a blank expression

—Can you explain me who is he and what the fuck is he doing here? You told me Maddy was coming but I guess you forgot to mention about an asshole whose name I've never heard before

—Babe... -I say trying to calm him down a bit- I'm sorry, I didn't know he was coming, you could hear Maddy talking about the "surprise" -I sigh- he's Joseph, I probably talked to you about him in the past but he's not a big deal -I start to get undressed and get in the bed-

—I'll tell you this before it can cause any problem between us, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. Joseph used to be like one of my best friends on the campus, we had a lot of classes together and well, we clicked, I did noticed that Joseph tried something else with me but I kept convincing myself that those things were just on my imagination, besides, I wasn't over our breakup. When we started talking again and found out we were traveling to Greece at the same time, he became jealous. I went to Greece, got pregnant and came back to Australia with you, when I told him everything, he act as if he had the right to reproach me things, for example, the fact that I was with you... That's where our friendship ended. I don't know why he'd show up right now -I pause- Maddy knew what happened between us, how we ended our friendship but he convinced her that we were in touch and that It would've been an amazing idea to come here

—So you're telling me that I'm accepting at my house a person that got mad over that fact that you had my son and that you're my girlfriend? -I slowly nod, biting my lower lip- I don't know how you'd do, Madeleine. But I want that guy out of our house in two days

Calum was totally mad, he's actually never like this. And if I ever tell him that I don't feel capable of kicking Joseph out, he'll get even more mad
