POV: First Person

Stepping off the bus I cover my eyes with my hands, trying to block out the sun. Laria, I'm in a small town named Laria, five-hundred miles from Ebott City. Sitting down on a bench I place my head in my hands, completely exhausted. I feel like this was a mistake. Maybe I should have just stuck it out... Raising my head I look around the area, not many people outside. Standing up I head over to a tiny bakery sitting snuggly beside a baby blue house. Slipping inside a chiming of bells go off and a small plump woman comes hurrying out of the back. "Hello? How may I help ya miss?" thick and sweet the woman spoke with a foreign accent. "Oh, hello, um I was just wondering if you knew where the inn for this town is?" Fiddling with my fingers I stare uncomfortably at the woman. Sweet and soft-hearted laughter left the woman's lips as she looked me over. "I'm sorry, you're new in town?" The woman said reining in her laughter. Smiling slightly, I nod, confirming her assumption.

"Yeah, just got here today. Not sure why I'm here though. This specific town I mean."

"Well, no matter your reasoning for choosing Laria, I welcome you."

"Thanks, um but you wouldn't happen to know where that inn is would you?"

"Next door, my sister owns it."

"Oh! Okay, thank you."

"No problem sweetie, see you soon."

Nodding I turn on my heel and head back outside and walk a few steps over to the house. The baby blue paint was peeling slightly, but it still somehow looked clean and well kept. Walking into the house I stand in the small foyer, unsure where to go next. "Hello?" My voice echoed through the room as I begin walking past a staircase and to a large desk. "Oh! Why hello there! Would you like a room Miss?"

"Yes, please."

"Alrighty, for how long?"

"Um, two days?"

"Okay, that'll be 50 dollars, it'll cover the morning breakfasts."

"Oh, okay."

Fishing out the money I hand it to the woman and let her lead me to my room. Just like the outside of the inn, it was decorated in very simplistic colours and decorations. Although a lot of it looked aged it still felt nice and welcoming. "Just one thing you might need to know, sweetie. We don't allow monsters here or out in town." the woman's voice didn't have a single trace of humor as she unlocked my door. "Huh? What did you say?" I was completely at a loss for what to say.

"No monsters allowed in Laria. But it shouldn't be a problem since you're human."

"If I might, do you have any reasoning behind the town's prejudice against monsters?"

"They're not normal and go against everything we believe in. They were locked away for a reason ya know."

Silently I nod and the woman smiles at me, but it doesn't feel friendly. Just before she closes the door the woman says, "I'm so glad that you're here in town! I hope you join us later tonight for our annual repeating of the seal that locked the monsters." and I just gave a pained smile and nod. Without another word, the woman was gone. Pulling my phone out of my pocket I turn it back on and sit on the bed feeling, unsafe. I really should have stayed home. This town seems a little, odd. Scratch that REALLY odd. When my phone turns itself back on I see quite a few missed calls from Sans, G, Pap, Frisk, Alyphs, and Undyne. The number of texts I've received are uncountable, but I decide to go through and read some.

Sans: Tell us where you are. Either you're coming home willingly, or forcefully.

Sans: So you turned your phone off? How selfish can you possibly be? Do you know how worried everyone is?

Sans: Where are you? (Y/n)! Just pick up your damn phone!"

Closing Sans' messages I feel scared, but I move on to read some of G's texts. I know that running away was a bad idea, but I had no other choice. I need to figure out to be me again. I'm hopeless, I just want Sans to show that he cares for me, even if it's a little bit. Why am I so desperate for his affection? Opening G's messages, I begin reading.

G: How can you leave like that!

G: I know I haven't been the most observant monster ever, but you should know that I care about you. I'm in love with you.

G: I never asked you to do any of this (Y/n).

G: Not that I don't appreciate all that you've done, but you can't act like I just left you to the wolves.

G: I love you... I'll find you.

Throwing my phone onto the ground, I begin sobbing into the pillows. I can't read any more of their disappointment.

I don't know what to do.

"I do."
