Author's POV :

It had been a tough week and tomorrow was going to be your one year anniversary with Karry, for the first time you weren't excited for something like that but rather you were scared, of what could possibly happen tomorrow, the fear was eating you alive. Apart from going and coming from school, you haven't been out lately, " you had to be extra cautious " the police said. Today was Wednesday, you had a small class picnic today but you didn't attend it, BC of the many possibilities.

You groaned and looked out of the window, the sun had only risen. It was 5:30 am now, "it's quite early" you remarked to yourself. You went back to your bed and grabbed your phone, there was a message from karry, you opened it and there was a photo attached to it, it was a photo of the sun rising. He was in his hometown for some work, he left last week and he'd be coming home tomorrow.

"Good Morning princess ~ the sun's already rising here •﹏• . I hope you'll have a wonderful day today, and today make sure to rest well because tomorrow I'm going to take you out for the whole day ,so be prepared 😂♥. And yeah you okay? You've been really distant these days, tell me if something is bothering you okay? We're a team and we're gonna fight everything together ♥. And lastly, always remember that I love ya 😚😚 and I miss you ~ I'll see you tomorrow "

As you read the text, your heart ached and it was happy at the same time. He always made you happy but this time, until the matter was solved you couldn't tell him anything. It was for the best, you could keep, yourself in danger but you couldn't put him in danger, he didn't deserve anything. You were worried that he had noticed things, that something wasn't right but you couldn't tell him anything. "We're a team but this fight.... I'll have to fight it alone.... Alone for the both of us... " you told yourself and started to type a reply,

"Heyyy~ good morning ,the sun's rising here too XD. Well I hope you're doing fine there? And nay, I haven't been distant, and don't worry if something's bothering me I'll tell you everything so trust me . I'll see you tomorrow, love you and take care "

You finished typing and send the message to him. It been a mess lately and you couldn't wait for all these to end. You kept the phone down and went to the bathroom to take a quick shower and freshen up, after the shower you changed your clothes, dried your hair . You wore black denim pants and a grey sweater.

You went to the kitchen to grab something to eat. As you entered the kitchen, there was an unfamiliar figure sitting on the chair, and your father and mother were talking very merrily with him. "Ah.... (Y/n) you're here, have a seat. See those come to visit " your father said noticing you coming towards the table. The figure turned back and you saw his face,he wasn't that bad looking, he seemed to be older than you. "Papa, who's he? "You asked frowning. You had never seen this guy before. "Aish... She doesn't remember me. You don't remember Fatty Peter? " he asked with an amused look in his face. "Fatty Peter as in the little and round kid? " you said showing the height and size with your hands. "Yeah... That's me it been a while big sis. Puberty did hit me in the right angles I'm unrecognisable aren't I?" he remarked chuckling. You were really surprised at how he was looking. He had totally changed, you were speechless .

"Why is the world so unfair. Like how did you change so drastically ???ll like seriously? " you complained eating the toast. "Hey, I can't do nothing about these genes, can i? " he replied, you rolled your eyes. Peter was your cousin, he was the youngest amongst your cousin (from your mother's side ),he was two years your junior but he looked way matured and older than you . "Oh sweetie, can you take Peter and show him around town today? You need to go out too " your mother said, you chocked on the glass of juice when She mentioned "show him around town " ,you didn't want to go out and you looked at your mother with pleading eyes, but she gave you a Stern look and you had to agree. So you quickly are your breakfast.
