Chapter 48 : Forgiveness

Author's POV :

As Junkai held your face, you didn't want him to look at you right now, you probably looked like a mes right now . "I'm sorry.... I was wrong.... I should have trusted you but I trusted someone else... " he said as he looked at you. You were going to say something to him, but you noticed Ailee pointing a gun towards him ready to shoot , the next moment you knew you had pushed him down to the ground and she fired - it hit your ribs. You couldn't comprehend what was going on and you fell down with a thud. "Princess !" You heard him scream, he held you in his arms, "princess don't worry you'll be okay.... It's all my fault that something like this happened, I'm sorry " he muttered, as he hugged you. You could feel his tears soaking your shirt. "Hey... " you said as you lightly brushed his hair. He raised his head and looked at you, "he looks like an Angel " you muttered to yourself. "Don't worry, its not your fault " you said as you wiped his tears. "Princes-" before you could hear anything else your vision started to blur out and darkness took over. You could hear him say something but you weren't sure what he said. It felt like you body was levitating on air, your body felt light, maybe because you were too tired.

Junkai's pov :

She passed out so suddenly. I took her wrist and felt a faint pulse, I lifted her up and ran towards the car. I opened the door to the back seat and made her lie down there and made sure that she wouldn't fall down. There was no time left. I quickly closed the door and  went to the driver's seat. I turned on the engine and started driving towards the hospital. I took occasional glances at her, she was becoming paler by the minute. I was nervous, tension and fear ran through my mind, I couldn't lose her, I needed to tell her many things, I wanted to grow old together with her.

Time skip ~

I sat there outside the OT, waiting for news. It had already been three hours but still no news, the nurses rushed out and in but no one gave any piece of news. It was nerve wrecking. I had washed my hands and wore the spare clothes Roy had brought for me. My clothes were covered in blood, her blood. Every time I think about her condition, I'd get angry at myself and at that person who was responsible for making her condition that horrible. The hospital reeked of chlorine, people were going here and there ,nurses and doctors going in and out of different wards, patients moving around, some in wheelchairs and some slowly making their way towards their destination. I took a glance at the operation theater, the light light still, glowed, she had to be okay.

"Here, have some coffee, it'll be good for you " Luke said as he handed me a cup of coffee and I thanked him. I looked down at the floor, holding the cuffed cup. The only thing that was on my mind was her, I was really worried - my brain wasn't functioning right, it was filled with tension and fear. "She'll be okay... " Jackson said lightly tapping on my shoulder. He was sitting next to me. He came back after taking Mercy back home. "I hope she'll be more than okay... " I muttered slowly the fear that I'd lose her was eating me up from inside. I had also gone and visited Liling who was in the other ward, she looked really weak, her olive skin was now Pale and she looked really frail. "How's (y/n)? " was the first thing she asked, "She's in the OT now.... " I trailed off. "Oh, don't worry she'll be fit and fine soon. She's a fighter, she'll pull through this " she said giving me a small smile. I sat and talked with her a bit . After the doctor came I took my leave.

After he  visited Liling, I went and sat at the chair near the OT, she was still not out. After taking her to the hospital, I had called up her brother and Roy telling them that I had taken her here . When her parents came in, I couldn't look at them I was ashamed at how I had let them down. They had given me the responsibility for protecting her and keeping her happy but all I did was hurt her and she was in such a state because of me, because I was insecure about our relationship. I looked once more towards the OT and the lights finally went out ,moments later the doctor came out . I stood up and made my way towards her, "Doctor, is she okay? " I asked her as she took off her mask. "She's out danger for now, she was luck that the bullet missed her heart only by an inch, it only did some damage to her internal organs but she'll be okay . She'll be unconscious for some time, we've treated all her wounds and we'll shift her to her allotted room "she said, "you can meet her after she's woken up, but I'm not sure when, she'll be in room number 509,so you can go and visit her there " she  continued. "I see, thank you so, much doctor " I said, she replied with a smile and left.
