Chapter 49: Ten Year's Promise

This chapter takes place in the year 2023,the year for the TFBOYS  10 year anniversary.

Author's POV :

You couldn't believe the fact that its been so long now. The TFBOYS would be celebrating their ten year anniversary next week. You had moved out of your parent's place and were living in an apartment.  You wanted to try experiencing how if was to live by yourself. You moved in just last week, it was a small house, with a garden. You really liked the house and the land lady was also really sweet. The place was also very close to the place of your workplace. You were sharing the house with Liling, you needed a room mate to share the apartment with. Mercy had gone to the US to pursue her major in Music. She would come back twice a year, once during the summer break and once during the winter. It was hard for all of you to gather together because all of your schedules were really tight.

Liling got a job as a professor in the university . She had grown up to be a very fine girl. She had becomes more mature with the passage of time, taller too. Mercy, she looked the same but more matured then before. She still had that kind eyes.
And the boys, God they had grown up into handsome beings - Greek Gods you could say in other words. Their fanbase had grown considerably large. Their world tour ended just two
months ago and it was a success. They ended the tour in Beijing and you knew you couldn't miss the chance to miss this performance of theirs so you had gone and God, it was really amazing - the atmosphere ,the fans and even the boys it was really beautiful. The fans sang along with the boys and it was really memorable.
Going back to the boys, their fan base has grown globally mostly among the young girls. The three of them were 5'11 nearly 6 feet tall.
Jackson had gotten his right ear pierced after he had graduated his college, it was for a drama that he was staring in. His sides were a clean cut and he usually kept his hair up.
Roy had become more manly. He still had that cute side to him but he was more manly in comparison. He had dyed his hair dark brown .
Coming to Karry, he had become more handsome - he looked more manlier than before. They had transcended in to young men, who were considered as the Nation's husbands because one simply could not chose either of them.

They released their first English album; Beautiful Dream, this year and it was a big hit. It had a total of 10 songs which they themselves had composed. It was sold in millions globally and two of the songs " Thank you " and " We " topped the charts. The album was dedicated to their fans for all the support that the had shown them through these past few years.  It. Won hearts of many fans globally. It included three main tracks, "Thank you " , " Silent Prayers " and  "We",all dedicated to their fans.

"You've got a day off today? " you asked liling as you sat on the couch reading a book. She was sitting on the chair and doing some work. "Yeah, I took the day off, I really needed some time off, work's been killing me and you?" she said as she looked at you. "Ah... I took a few days off. I need to collect myself " you answered honestly. These past few days, work had been crushing you but more importantly, you missed karry. "Time flies by fast doesn't it? " Liling said looking at you, "yeah... It does... It was like yesterday when we were just teens but now look at use we're all grown " she said with an odd tone in her voice. "True... Just yesterday I was a fan of the TFBOYS and now it's been ten years...." You replied with melancholy in your voice. Time did fly by really soon. But you were happy that even though time few by quickly, you were able to make thousands of memories here.

Karry and you had been together and celebrated your four years together just last March. You both had matured over the course of these few years, you tried not to argue about things but rather solve it within yourself also to confront each other when you had a hunch that the other was hiding something or going through something. That Jimmy incident from five years ago had taught you both many lessons one was about your relationship. You clearly remember that every day until you were fully discharged from the hospital, Karry would come and visit you for three four hours and bring you flowers ,"A beautiful and cozy room helps you recover faster and also will keep your mind at peace " he used to say. You couldn't really express how grateful you were to have someone like him in your life. It was more than a blessing.
You always thought of having a boyfriend but you never imagined that you'd be in one with Him. You were brought back to reality when your phone buzzed, it was a message.
