Chapter 42 : Suspision and Doubts

Author's pov :

These two months have been hectic for you, especially with the fear of him. The moment you knew that he was released from prison, your worst nightmares were coming true again - you were nervous and scared of what he could do not only to you but the ones around you, especially to karry therefore you tired to maintain some distance from him so that he'll be safe. It was two weeks ago, that everything started.

Flashback ~
It was February 14,Valentines day and you received an anonymous package. You opened it and found a card with a dozen dried roses, you were mortified seeing the  the card , it was from him :

Dearest (y/n),
I hope you're doing good? Well I've been having a rough time in prison - I missed you. Did you miss me? I guess I'll see you soon. And you've become so beautiful. I heard your dating someone now... I believe you know that you are mine little birdie.

An unexpected shrill escaped your lips, you were trembling. "(Y/n)!!!  What happened? " your mother and father came rushing at the should of your shrill. "Mom.... Dad..... He.... He ....came back -" you said point towards the package and the letters. Your mother rushed eloped you into a warm embrace, you clung to her like a baby. You were scared, scared that he would come back soon - that your nightmares were coming back to you, there were going to become real. "That bastard!  How Dare he! " you father shouted."Honey, don't worry - we won't let him get you. We'll protect you as long as we're alive we won't let him touch a hair on your head " your mom assured you, she was shaking as she patted your head.

Your mom took you to your room and brought you a cup of water. "Honey, your father told your brother about this and he'll be contacting the police, so don't worry - he'll be caught " she said trying to reassure you as you sat on the bed. "Ma....I'm - I'm just scared " you said clutching the pillow on your bed tightly. "Honey, don't worry. We're here with you so nothing can go wrong " she said smiling. "(Y/n) !!!!!" Your brother bursted into the room and looked for you. Seeing you on the bed, he quickly came and eloped you into a warm hug. "Baby, don't worry. Everything's gonna be alright soon ",he said reassuring you. You couldn't help but burst into tears, you could let your insecurities out when you were with your brother,he didn't always call you baby but when he did he really meant it,you were his precious baby sister . "I'll give you some time, Luke please calm her down, she needs you " your mom said as she went out of your room and closed the door.

"Baby, don't worry about a thing okay? I won't let anything happen to you this time. Last time it was my fault Damn that bastard " he spited the last sentence in anger as you parted from the hug. "I-i told you it wasn't your fault. This time I'm scared..... I-i-im scared of dragging others into this mess ,I'm scared that he-he'll hurt them too ..." you said in between sobs. "Baby.... Don't worry. No one will get dragged in and he won't hurt them or you. I promise " he replied, giving you a warm smile. "Bu-but I'm worried about Karry - he-e mentioned in the letter about Karry. Last time and this time it's different - this time Karry may be involved. I'm  scared for him, I don't want anything bad to happen to him!-" you said your sobs getting louder. You didn't want Karry to get hurt because of you. "Shhh.... Baby-" he cut off his words and looked towards the window.

"Wait... " he said as he went towards the window and looked around. He quickly closed the window and came towards you. "Now don't worry. I promise nothing will happen to him- why don't you tell him about it, he'll be upset if he finds out from a third person " your brother said standing next to you. "N-no I can't. He'll be involved if I tell him and I don't want to involve him in my mess. And please don't tell karry anything about this okay ? " you said looking at him. " I promise, I won't tell him a word" he said.
