CHAPTER 24 : New Friends

After almost a day.

Your 's POV :
"Passengers we will arrive in Beijing within 10 minutes . Please be seated carefully." The hostess announced.
I sighed looking outside. The journey had been really long. I looked out, the sky seemed to blush red with a mix of yellow. "Its really tiring. I wanna go home and take a nap after having a shower." I told myself . After landing,as I stepped out of the warm cabin, the air seemed suddenly colder. I shivered,"well what do you expect? Warm air in winter? " i self noted to myself. I was rethinking about having a shower in this cold weather. Me and mom went together to the entrance of the airport, while dad went to take care of the luggages . Bro Luke would be coming to pick us up. As we waited for bro Luke. I'm not sure why, but my stomach was giving me butterflies, i felt kinda excited . This was the first time something like this had happened to me. I thought i felt Karry's presence here, like he was here. I shrugged it away, thinking it was just the cold air getting to my head. "Sweetie, there's your brother!" Mom said pointing at brother Luke. He waved at us and smiled. We went towards him carrying our luggage. "Hey, how was the journey? " he asked ruffling my hair. "Hey, stop that." I said and he stopped ruffling it smiling. "The journey was good but took too long. " I said as I yawned. It was really tiring although I slept for a while. "Well what can you expect? " he said smiling. This guy.... I mentally slapped myself. "Kidding. Well all the arrangements are done, so you can move in directly. But mom, you sure you don't wanna come live with me? " bro asked with puppy dog eyes. "Thank you, but no. Because you'll have a lot of work. And we don't want to disturb you. " mom said smiling. "Awww.... Okay mom. By I'll visit you guys often. " bro said smiling. Dad came with our luggages and bags. "What are you all talking about? " he asked as he came. "It's nothing dear. Let's go shall we? " mom said. Dad nodded and we got into the car and drove.

Another POV :

It was strange. Me and Jackson were sitting on the bench, near the park together. It was our favourite spot, until he became famous. We couldn't come here often. "Hey.... " I said as I looked down. "YauYau.... Look at me" he said with a Stern voice. I looked at him, he looked serious. "I have something important to tell you... " he said as he trailed off. My heart began to race, "what was he trying to say? Why am I so nervous? " I told myself. He opened his mouth "It's jus that.... Dinner is read YauYau. Get up" he finished in mum's voice. "Huh? Mom? " I told myself. I was seriously really confused. "Wake up, the new neighbours have arrived too. " he continued speaking. I was really really Confused. Everything started to get blurry and it became dark. I felt like someone was moving me. I opened my eyes and noticed that it was just a dream. "It was just a dream? " I asked myself and laughed. "Good that your up now, let's go have dinner and then go visit the new neighbours " she said as she went out of my room. "Oh..." Was all I told myself. I looked at the closed curtains and remembered the embarrassing dream."How can you dream Such an embarrassing dream Mercy?" I scolded myself . I went out of the room after changing my clothes .

After dinner ~

Dinner was somehow exciting tonight because after this we were going to see our new neighbours. I carried our dishes and went to the sink to clean them."They have a daughter,maybe about your age or older than you." Mom said. "Oh...I see. I hope we can be Friends." I told her. Doing the dishes was hard work but mum always gave me pocket money for it,so it's always worth it in the end. "Yes, I heard she is very friendly and pretty." mum continued. "Ah... Now I'm more excited to meet her. " I told her honestly. I wanted to know what type of girl she would be, would she be my friend or not? That was the only thing that came to my mind. After doing the dishes I went and wiped my hands dry. "Let's go and greet them? " mom asked and I nodded my head. Mom had made some sweets for them. " I hope they like them." Mom said as she rang the doorbell and waited for them to answer . "Don't worry, they'll love it. " I assured her smiling . Honestly mum's sweets are the best. I told myself proudly. The door opened and a middle aged woman appeared in front. " Hello there, were your new neighbours. I hope you'll like this new neighbourhood " mum said smiling "Ah... Hello. We too are new neighbour for you. So please why don't you come in" she said giving us a warm smile. "This aunt seems like a good person.... " I self noted to myself .
"Oh.... Here" mom said, handing here the sweets. "You didn't have to but thank you. " she said as she took the sweets. "Come in" she invited and we went inside.
