Chapter 10:

Jake: Y/n! He's 18! Almost 19 and here you are barely 17.

You: Oh really, how did you know he was almost 19?

Jake: I ran a criminal record search. And don't try to change the subject.

Jake started walking closer to you.

Jake: Are those hickeys?

You: No.

Jake: Then what are they?

You: hickeys.

Jake: Your little "boyfriend" Has a death wish.

He storms out the door, across the street to their house.

*Colby's POV*

I walk back across the street. And Elton is waiting for me.

Elton: Colby, what were you thinking??

Colby: I don't know Elton, and we can't change anything. Where did you put Sam?

Elton: I put him in the woods, the animals will take care of him.

Suddenly, there is pounding on the door, and you hear Jake.

Corey: Go Colby, run go to the woods, and hide.

I obeyed.

*Elton POV*

I was just talking to Colby and then y/n's brother, Jake was at the door.

Jake: POLICE! OPEN THE DOOR!!

I told Colby to run, he did.

I opened the door.

Elton: Yes.

Jake: Does a Cole Brock live here?

Elton: Yes.

Jake: I need to speak to him.

Elton: He isn't home right now.

Jake: I'll just stay here until he comes back then.

Elton: okay.

I'm worried for Colby, he made a mistake, we all do it sometimes.

*Colby's POV*

I almost made it into the woods and I realized what I was doing. I was running away from what I've done. I turned back, I would face Jake, and hopefully I won't be arrested.

I bolted to the house and walked in through the back door.

Elton: Colby, what are you doing.

Colby: Facing what I've done.

I walk out the front door to see Jake sitting in a chair, on the porch.

Jake: Sit down.

I did as he said. My heart was in my throat.

Jake: I liked you Colby. I really did. That's why when I seen you too kissing I didn't say anything.

Colby: You- You saw us?

Jake: yeah, I did. But I'm not arresting you, I only want to talk.

Colby: oh thank god.

Jake: I want you to be honest with me, what did you do to my sister.

Colby: oh, um... Well we were talking about you and how you wouldn't accept our relationship, and we were debating on sneaking around or not.

We kind of both decided on sneaking around. Then we started kissing then you know, but we didn't go all the way through with it. I told her it wasn't right and to wait.

Then I realized the hickeys and I was terrified of you either killing me or arresting me.

Jake: but you came and talked to me anyway, knowing I knew. That's really brave of you.

Colby: thanks.

Jake: You two can date. But three conditions: 1. Wait till she's 18. 2. Don't break her heart. And 3. Come through the front door, not the window.

Colby: haha, okay.

Jake: She loves you

Colby: I love her too.
