Chapter 22:

You stare at the test seeing your planned future drift away. You couldn't ever move, you couldn't leave. And it was all Brennen's fault.

You take a picture and throw the test away. You then walk outside to Colby's car and get it.

Colby: What's wrong babe? We're finally leaving.

You: Colby we can't.

Colby: Why not?

You: Colby, I'm pregnant.

His eyes grew wide. His voice lowers to a barely audible whisper.

Colby: You're what?

You: Baby I'm pregnant.

Colby: and it's Brennen's kid.

Colby drives you to Brennen's house.

Colby: I'm gonna kill him.

You: He's the only one who can help us.

Colby: What do you mean?

You: Colby, we're gonna have to tell Jake, about everything, and he's gonna disown me, he won't understand.

You didn't even notice Brennen open the door.

Brennen: Is there a problem here, Sweetness?

Colby: Actually there is.

Brennen: Ok then what is it?

You: I'm pregnant Brennen.

Brennen's face dropped.

Brennen: Please tell me this is a prank.

Colby: Why would this be a prank? Brennen, you have done the thing Abby needs, now all she needs is us.

Brennen: What have I done? Come inside we need to figure this out.

You all went inside and decided on one idea of how to handle this. Tell Jake everything, then text Abby and try to meet up with her and take her down.

Colby: Let's go tell Jake.

You: yay.

You said in a monotone voice. When you get back to your house, Jake is sitting on the counter, waiting for you.

You: Jake, we have something to tell you.

Jake holds up his hand then he pulled the test out of his pocket.

Jake: I already know.

You and Colby look at each other and chuckle a little.

You: that's not all Jake.

Jake: What do you mean that's not all?

You: Jake, you're not going to want to be around me, just so you know.

Jake: y/n what's wrong?

You look at Colby and mouth "can you?" He nods his head and whispers "yeah".

Colby: Jake, she's different, she's not human.

Jake: That's impossible.

Colby: She's a vampire, and I'm a werewolf.

Jake: Those aren't real.

You: It wasn't an animal that caused your cases, it was me.

Jake: My sister did not cause that, what are you saying? Are you okay?

You: I'm fine Jake. Listen to me. We can tell you everything.

Jake: Let's go to the doctor, let's see if the baby's okay.

He said grabbing your arm, you tried to pull away, but his grip tightened.

You: Let go, Jake. You're hurting me stop!

You hissed at him showing your fangs. His grip immediately loosened and he dropped your arm.

Jake: Get out.

You: Jake-

Jake: No, I will not allow freaks in my house! Get out!

He pushes you both out the door and slams it in your faces.
