Chapter 21:

You saw a beautiful waterfall and trees that came up around it. Like Brennen said before it was very exotic. This was the most beautiful place you'd ever been, the only thing was it was dark and you couldn't see much.

Brennen: The only bad part is there's no service in the woods. Well, that's not horrible.

You: How did you find this place?

Brennen: When I was coming back from Australia I came upon this place and stayed for a few days. Then when I came out of the forest I found you and Colby.

You: It's beautiful.

Brennen: You're more beautiful.

You: That sounds so weird coming from my boyfriend's brother.

He started rummaging through the backpack

Brennen: f*** I forgot condoms.

You: Well that's just great.

Brennen: We can't go back so, Let's get some alcohol in our system already.

You: As long as Jake is nowhere to be seen.

You and Brennen drink a lot of alcohol. Soon the deal is being carried out, meanwhile...

*Colby's POV*

I went back to y/n's house and chilled there for a bit. Until the front door opened. It was Jake.

Jake: Hey where's my sister?

Colby: She and Brennen are doing something.

Jake: And you trust him with her?

Colby: He's my brother, of course I do.

I said lying smoothly even though I could break down any second.

Jake: Then what are you doing here?

Colby: Just thought I would come and chill for a bit, wait for you to get home.

Jake: Me? You're dating my sister.

Colby: I'm fully aware of that. I just haven't talked to you much, and I thought I should get to know you.

Jake: Well I am a cop and I have a sister that has a very nice boyfriend.

Colby: Haha thanks.

Jake: You're welcome. You hungry?

Colby: I could eat.

Jake: Let's order a pizza.

Jake and I hang out for a bit and I ended up crashing on the couch, but hanging out with Jake helped me get my mind off of the fact my brother was banging my girlfriend in the forest just so we can leave this godforsaken town.

*your POV*

I woke up the next morning and got dressed while Brennen was still asleep. I tried to ignore the headache I had. I found a pen and a piece of paper in Brennen's backpack.

I wrote "I need the money in 2 months." and I walked back to my house. When I got there I walked in and I saw Colby on the couch.

I smiled and walked over and shook him awake.

You: Baby, I'm back.

Colby: Oh god your back I missed you.

You both kissed. And the kiss was broken when Jake walked in.

Jake: Ugh get a room you two.

You all laughed.

Jake: Why didn't you come back last night?

You: Brennen and I went on a walk and our phones died which meant no flashlight, so we just had to sleep in the forest.

Jake: Okay. I'm going back to sleep now.

You: Sweet dreams.

You and Colby both waited on Jake to leave for you two to talk. When he does Colby turns to you and asks...

Colby: Why do I smell alcohol on your breath?

You: You can smell it?

Colby: Yes, now explain.

You: Brennen stole some so I would hardly remember last night.

Colby: Do you remember if he used a condom?

You think back to last night and remember.

You: f*** no he forgot then.

Colby: Well that's just splendid.

The day went normally with you and Colby, ignoring the fact of everything that happened the day before. The next few weeks passed in a blur.

The day finally came for Brennen to pay you. You had been feeling a little off. You had let Colby go and wait for you in the car while you secretly took a pregnancy test just to be sure.

You now look at the test in your hands as your head is having a hard time taking in the word "positive."
