Aang- Part 2

i woke up in the middle of the night, and realized I heard some talking. I peaked outside the tent and saw Zuko and Katara...he was...he was hugging her? What's going on?!

"I'd be lost if I never knew you...I'd rather die tomorrow than to live a hundred years without knowing you...I care about you so much," he told her. What?! What is he talking about? Come on Katara, don't you fall for that. She's.....hugging him back! Ok Zuko, your challenge is clear. I won't let you take Katara away from me. I slowly closed the tent and went back to sleep.

I woke up last...everyone was already getting breakfast. "Hey Aang, what took you so long?" Sokka said

"I Uh....just didn't sleep well."

"Well, maybe you should gotosleep a little longer," Katara suggested.

"Yeah, you need your rest," Zuko said.

"No, I'm fine," I said smugly.

"What's your problem? Why are you so on edge?" Toph questioned.

"I'm not, I'm just tired ok!" I exclaimed. "Why don't you people ever listen to me?!"

"well....anyways...hey Aang can you get some more supplies," Sokks asked while rubbing his head.

"Why can't Zuko do it? He doesn't ever do anything!" I snapped.

"Uh...okayy...Zuko do you mind?"

"No, I don't mind, I'll be right back," Zuko replied.

"Take your time," I said as he was leaving.

"Aang, What's your problem?" Katara said.

"I don't have a problem."

"Then why are you being so smug towards Zuko?" she drilled.

"I'm not, I'm just cranky that's all...I'll apologize when he comes back." I sighed. ".....Wanna go for a walk Katara?

"Sure, why not." she replied.

We went walking in the woods holding hands, it was quiet for a while,almost an awkward silence. "Katara can I ask you something?"

"Sure Aang, what's on your mind?"

"Well, where do you think we are.....in our relationship?" I bravely asked.

"I think we're pretty good.....we're stable."

"Oh...that's how you feel..."

"What do you mean, that's how I feel?"

"Well you don't think we're moving up or anything, like to the next level?"

"Well what do you think the next level is?" she asked with curiosity.

"I don't know I just think we should move up...like be a little more open about it."

"Everyone knows we're together..."

"Well yeah...but we don't really show it, like kiss in front of everybody? Do you have a problem with displaying affection?"

"What? No. It just never really crossed my mind...I didn't think we had to prove anything to anyone."

"We don't...I just think we should be a little more up front about it, and not act like we're just friends...."

"I don't think we do."

"Well....that's how I feel Katara..."

When we got back to camp, Zuko was back with more supplies.....I guess I should apologize to him, even though I don't want to.."Hey Zuko," I said walking over to him. "I'm sorry I was being so smug towards you," I said trying to sound ad sincere as possible.

"It's fine Aang, don't worry about it, not everyone's a morning person." He took it so lightly, like everything I said to him earlier didn't bother him at all, not even a little bit! But I don't care...he won't take Katara away from me. I refuse to let that happen.
