Kol was always an early riser, so he had already gone for a run and bought breakfast. Bonnie just got out of the shower when he got in.

She took the bag if him and went to make some coffee.

In the beach house, the awakening after a glorious night of pure passion was fairy-tale like.

Klaus knew how to woo a woman. He had all Caroline liked ready and brought to the bed.

"You really took notes" Caroline looked at the trey with blueberry juice, coffee with cream, bagels-"maybe you are an angel"-she now kissed him. Her lips tasted of blueberries.

In the city, Elijah was awake for a little while. He didn't want to disturb Elena, who still slept firmly. Being there next to her was something that he wanted to extend as long as possible. She had opened all that he had buried for years. He was happy he just went with all the feelings that the initial kiss kicked out in him.

Now he couldn't help himself no longer and placed a peck on her lips.

"Mmmh"-Elena uttered as she opened her eyes. Seeing him now she smiled as the whole night flashed back to her.

"Morning'-he whispered.

"Morning..."-she said and kissed him back.

Unlike her brothers, Rebekah was already at home, as she had an appointment with her mother, and Esther didn't like being stood up, unless it was a very good reason.

Esther was preparing a fundraiser for the children oncology department at Kol's hospital. He worked for a Children charity hospital as a children's orhopedic surgeon, and they depended on donations to buy equipment, fund research and provide better facilities.

She made herself presentable and went to her mother's study asking their housekeeper to make her a double espresso.

Esther didn't comment on her daughter's sleepy look, and went straight to her notes. Half of Rebekah's brain listened to her mother, and the other thought of her night with Jackson.

Charly walked into the kitchen, where Miss Arnold already had all prepared fot breakfast. She sat down at the table placing her phone on the table.

"Dad didn't sleep at home!" she said to the housekeeper.

"He has not!"- Miss Arnold confirmed and they looked at one another. Charly received a message from Rebekah, informing her that Elijah was awol. She loved Rebekah's unconventional way of speaking.

"Aunt Rebekah took him to a party last night."- Charly said.

"A party? What kind?"

"Aunt Rebekah's kind!"- Charly said as she took a sip of her juice.

"Good for him!"- Miss Arnold said- "it was about time he got out the shell he put himself in. You are happy about it, too?!"

"I am. He is with Elena-and I like her. And not just because she made the best Baked Alaska ever as this cupcake mini-versions. Remember that horrible Assistant he had in London. Always hovering around him- what was her name?"

"Hayley Marshall!"- Miss Arnold reminded her.

"It's so good we moved."- Charly said.

"Me too."- Miss Arnold said- "it's doing you both so much good! You didn't tell me how your audition went yesterday? Did you get the part?"

"Since I was late entering myself for it. I am now an understudy, but something great happened yesterday. Uncle Klaus took Henrik and me to the guitar shop He bought us guitars."

"Right, What is the story behind this. What have you going?"

"Henrik has a band. But you know what grandma and grandpa are like...they will not say yes to it."

"None of their children ever did what they were really told."- Miss Arnold thought- "why would Henrik be an exception?"

"You be careful...and if there is anything fowl going of...don't forget that we had a pact that you always tell me even if it is superbad?"- the housekeeper used some of Charly's language too.

"Promise. You know that I love to sing... and yes, I am in the band now too."

"Ok, so, what do you have planned for today? I guess, your father will be eating out?!"- Miss Arnold said and they went through Charly's schedule.

Elena and Elijah eventually got out of the bed. He was like a changed man, or maybe, he was the Elijah before his spirit died when he found out that his wife was terminally ill.

While Elena was making brunch, he called Charly, and explained where he was.

"How is she?"- Elena asked as she served the light brunch for the two of them.

"Fine. She and Miss Arnold will go shopping"

"Does Miss Arnold have a name?"- Elena enquired.

He smiled- "Yes. Claire. It's hard to get out of old habits"- he sat down at the table.

"Aha-"- she smiled cheekily looking at him.

He took a sip of the rich coffee she made.

"This is strong. but good. I am not complaining"

"Elijah, you don't have to tiptoe. I did overdo it. It's pretty strong. I need to wake up. not that I really want to-here is some more milk"

"We didn't really take it slow"- he said.

"I am glad we didn't, aren't you?"

"Yes, Elena. I am. Very. Before I got ambushed. I had planned to ask you out anyway. Although now it probably sounds misplaced"

"Really?"- Elena chuckled.

"Really! So, would you like to go out with me tonight? I know you like music. I have two tickets for unplugged Sade?"

"Sade? How did you- I love it!!"

"Don't forget that I come from the same family of conspirators. I overheard Rebekah talking to you about it!!?"- he said.

"That's tonight. Her concert is tonight!"- Elena exclaimed.

"So, would you like to go with me?"

"I'd love to!"- she smiled.

Caroline didn't want to return to the city, so they decided to stay the weekend. She had to go shopping for some clothes, but that wasn't any ordeal. They had all the time in the world so it seemed.

After Elijah left, Elena called Caroline to tell her that she had one of the most amazing nights ever.

Esther called Klaus to find out where he was and whether he would be returning to the city that day, as she had something important she had to discuss with him. It was delayed for Monday.
