You and Me

She is nice/He is nice

Elijah and Klaus were whisked away by their mother to greet some of their old friends. Elena was now left with Caroline taking another cocktail.

"This is not a bad party at all!"- Caroline stated- "it looks like you are rebounding fast?!"

"What do you mean?"- Elena looked at her friend now.

"Oh... I saw the way you looked at Elijah... he is tall, dark and handsome... maybe a bit older for my taste...but... not bad at all!!"

"Caroline, I don't care.... I am not interested. He is a nice guy... and we just had a polite talk."

"All right. I am not going to push you into anything! Can you believe it that Katherine had something with Klaus. She really is everywhere. Who has she not been with?!" Caroline hissed.

Stefan now made their way to them.

"Hey." they both greeted him.

"You guys seen Yemaya?!" Stefan asked.

"Yeah," Elena said, "I think she went into the garden.

Stefan thanked them and went to look for her.

"What shall we do?," Caroline said to her friend,"help them, not help them?"

"I think that we shouldn't meddle. I think Yemaya will realize that it would be stupid to let someone like Stefan walk." Elena said.

"Oh, no. Damon is coming this way." Caroline saw that he was now approaching them.

Sooner or later, Elena knew that they would have to face one another and as he came to them she kind of went the way to the garden and he followed her.

Caroline now looked for Rebekah.

"Elena, will you stop?!"- Damon said at one point. She stopped and was now facing him. Her face stern waiting for his line.

"What is it?"- 

"I want to talk to you."

"What about?"

"I made a mistake-but I love you!"

Elena was quiet. Then she looked at him and hurt mixed with angry overcame her and she now said firmly, "You don't love me- if you loved me you would never had slept with Katherine! But that's not important. I am not sure that I love you."

"You are not sure-maybe this will tell you."

He now kissed her. 

At that moment Elijah turned around as he was speaking to Kol seeing Elijah with Damon. Charly came up to them and he walked away with her.

Elena now pushed Damon away from her and she said angrily.

"Don''t ever do this again!Leave me alone!" she now moved away from him brushing the kiss away.

She found Caroline and told her that she was leaving. They got her a taxi and she drove off home.

For some the cocktail party finished in a more eventful way. Klaus made sure he got Caroline's number.

Yemaya avoided Stefan, and soon she was gone from the party as well. 

Elena went into her shop and locked herself into the bakery. She put her apron on and looked at some of her new recipes that she wanted to try out. When she was confused or couldn't cope with what she was feeling, she would go and bake. She wanted to try out new cookies with chilli powder. She would call them the Aztec fire. 

Her phone rang but she ignored it.

At the end of the evening when all the guests left, Rebekah sat down with his syblings and they chatted about the party. Charly gave her account about how she perceived it. It was boring to her, actually. Then they discussed her pending birthday in two weeks and they wanted to know what she was doing on the day.
