Chapter 50:MEETING V'S PARENTS🌼

The following day, I woke up at around 10 00. I looked around for Tae but he was not here. I checked my phone and saw that he left me a message telling me that he went to work and that he would be back at around 16 30.

"There we go again! I'll have to spend my day alone here and try to keep myself busy." I said to myself.

I prepared breakfast for myself and then decided to watch a film but I could not appreciate it because my mind was preoccupied with something else: tonight's dinner. I was really apprehensive about it...

Tae-hyung and the others finally came back home. I spent the day watching movies and completely lost track of time. He told me that I should start getting ready and I nodded. He then went to take a bath and I lazily got up from the sofa.

Jimin then came to see me. He asked me why I looked so tensed and I told him about that dinner and how much I was apprehending it. He tried to comfort me by telling me that he met his parents once and that they were really kind. He also told me that I should not be so stressed as he was sure that Tae's parents would like me. I then thanked him and went to get ready.

After some time, we were finally ready and Tae-hyung told me that it was time to go. I waved goodbye to the others and followed him to the car. We reached his home some hours later. When I got out of the car, I asked him, a somehow stupid question: "What should I say when I see them?" He laughed and then said: "Just bow. I'll handle the rest." I nodded and he rang at the door.

I held his hand so as to reassure myself. He smiled at me and said: "Smile. It's going to be okay."
Then the door opened and his mother welcomed us, smiling. She then called someone and some time later Tae's father appeared. Tae-hyung then placed his hand on the small of my back and guided me inside. I bowed to his parents as he told me and he then introduced me to them. They told me something in Korean which, as expected, I did not understand. I looked at Tae-hyung desperately and he translated it, then he told his parents that I do not speak Korean and they let out a "Ohh" which was enough to make me feel anxious but they then smiled at me kindly and told us to get seated for dinner.

I looked at Tae-hyung, afraid of what might happen but he smiled at me and put his hand on mine. I instantly felt more relaxed and smiled back at him. His mother then called two names and said something. I looked at Tae-hyung and he whispered into my ear: "Stop being so tensed. I'll translate everything, don't worry. And yeah, she was just calling my siblings that's it."
Indeed, after some time, a boy and a girl got seated in front of us. They smiled at me and Tae introduced me again. This was how I came to know that his brother has the same age as Jungkook and his sister has the same age as me. I also felt more at ease when I discovered that they could understand English, even if they could not speak perfect English.

During the meal, Tae was telling his parents how we met, where do I come from and all, while I was talking to his siblings. They were really nice. Then Tae's parents started talking to me and Tae-hyung had to translate everything. Even if we did not speak the same language, the evening went on really well and it was finally time for us to leave. Tae's parents hugged him before he got in the car and his mother came to hug me as well. This was unexpected but I was somehow touched by it. They also promised me to try to learn English so that it would be easier for us to communicate the next time we would meet, I smiled at them and we left...

When we reached the dorm, we found all of them waiting for us in the living room. They all rushed to us as we came in and asked us how was the evening.

"Really well!" I replied with a huge smile.

"She didn't like it at all." retorted Tae-hyung.

"No that's false. He was the one who didn't like it as he had to translate everything." I told them, glaring at Tae.

He ended up bursting out laughing and I punched him in a friendly way. He then told them that it was nice and that I got along with everyone there. We all went to our room after this...
