I’m gonna kill him! Harry thought as he stormed out of the nurse’s office. The nurse had everyone convinced that the horrible pain Lizzy had had was a migraine, but Harry knew better. What Lizzy had actually received was what he had fallen victim to many a times courtesy of Louis. Along with the mind reading and thought transmitting, Louis also had the ability to give people excruciatingly painful headaches (so the nurse wasn’t completely wrong). His power was so strong that he could actually cause a person’s brain to burst if he did it for long enough. Harry had witnessed it first hand, which was why he was so upset. What if Louis hadn’t stopped when he did? What state would Lizzy be in?
Harry slammed the cafeteria doors open and stomped his way over to Louis, earning him shocked stares from everyone, except a smirking Louis. “Tomlinson, you are so dead!” Harry growled. Liam and Zayn quickly stepped in front of him to block Harry’s way. “Back off, mate,” Zayn warned.
“Come on now, Zayn. Harry wouldn’t hurt me. Would you, Haz?” Louis said with an evil grin. Harry glared at the blue eyed boy and clenched his fists tightly. “Cause Harry knows that if he tried, he wouldn’t even get close to me, right Harry? You know what I could do to you, don’t you, Harry?” Louis smile faded and his eyes darkened as he stood up slowly and walked towards Harry. I could end you. You know that. Harry forced himself to calm down and nodded.
“That’s a good boy. Now let’s all go home so we can talk about this like adults,” Louis smiled and patted Harry’s head.
“I’m not going anywhere with you, Lou,” Harry said through gritted teeth.
“Harry? Are you really that upset? I do it to you all the time! You’re fine! I do it to the boys, they’re fine! Everyone gets a little headache every now and again! Really, I think you’re overreacting,” Louis chuckled.
“You could’ve killed her! She’s not like us! You know humans are affected worse than we are!” How could Louis be so unaffected by this? He was acting as if he did nothing wrong!
“But I didn’t kill her. And believe me, we both know I could’ve,” he narrowed his eyes at Harry.
The two boys stared each other down for what felt like hours until Harry finally said sadly, “You obviously don’t care about anyone but yourself or how your actions affect other people. Even your own friends, apparently.”
Louis rammed a hand into Harry’s chest, nearly knocking the boy over a table, “You idiot! I did it for your own good! You need to stay away from her, Harry! Bad things will happen if you two get any closer, which seems inevitable at this point!”
“Bad things? As in, I’ll leave you for her? You are so damn selfish! Just because I befriend someone besides you four doesn’t mean I’ll stop being friends with you!”
“I don’t care whether or not if you’re my friend! I care about your safety!”
“Oh yes, my safety. I’m sure the girl is gonna kill me with her kisses and her smiles,” Harry shook his head. “Get over yourself, Lou.” He gazed at Louis sadly before making his way out the cafeteria.
“Harry, wait! I’m sorry! I won’t do it again! Just please listen to me!” Louis begged after his friend. Harry kept walking.
“Please, Harry! Stay away from her! I’m begging you!” Still nothing. Tears began to rim his blue eyes as he stared at Harry’s curly hair. Please, Harry. He whispered in Harry’s mind.
Please leave me alone, Lou. Harry’s tone wasn’t harsh or rude. It was sad and broken. The two had never gotten into a fight this bad before and Louis didn’t know how to react. He could force Harry to forgive him and never speak to Lizzy, but he had promised his four friends from the beginning that he would never use his abilities on them. And even though he just wanted to see what was going on Harry’s mind, he wouldn’t defy his friend’s wishes. He would have to let Harry figure things out on his own, and if he or Lizzy got hurt in the end, then so be it. Louis had warned both of them and now he was gonna stay out of the way. I can’t do that, he’s my best mate! But he had to. Harry wouldn’t listen to him, and that was the last time the two spoke for three weeks.

After Louis and Harry's fight, Harry and Lizzy had gotten a lot closer. They spent nearly all their time together and even though Lizzy was enjoying every minute of it, she could tell Harry missed his friends like crazy. One day, when she caught Harry staring into space as they watched a Glee marathon, she decided to ask Harry about it.
"Harry?"
"Hmm?" He mumbled after he broke from his thoughts.
"You don't have to tell me what happened but-"
"Lizzy, for the millionth time, I'm not talking to Louis.
He's a jerk and I don't need a friend like that!"
"Harry Styles, you listen to me right now. He's been your friend for years! You can't let a little squabble ruin a friendship as special as yours!" She argued.
Harry raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "That was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard."
She furrowed her eyebrows and frowned, "Shut up! I'm trying to save your friendship! I can tell not talking to them is killing you and as much as I love you hanging out with me, I know you need your guy time too. And honestly....I kinda need my girl time. Eleanor's starting to complain that I don't hang out with her enough."
Harry sighed. He really did miss his friends (and he didn't know how many more episodes of Glee he could sit through). He had even forgotten what he and Louis had argued about in the first place anyway. Maybe he could try and fix things. Louis obviously missed him just as much since he was always trying to talk to Harry in the hallways even though Harry would glare at him and then walk away. Louis wanted to be friends again, and Harry did too. "Fine. I'll try talking to Lou and the guys. But if we do become friends again, I promise that I'll still have all the time in the world for you, love," he smiled and kissed Lizzy's cheek.
Her cheeks turned a bright shade of pink and she grinned shyly, "Sounds good to me, Haz. Now go fix things with Louis!"
"Haha okay, babe. I'll call you afterwards." He stood up from her living room couch and made his way to her front door.
"OK! Bye, Harry!" She smiled brightly at him and if Harry were still alive, he would've blushed.Gosh, you're beautiful. He thought in her mind. Her smile grew wider and her cheeks reddened for the second time that evening. Shut up, and go talk to Louis.
The car ride to the flat he and Louis once shared was weird for Harry. He had been staying at a hotel for the past three weeks and had only returned to the place to get his clothes and toiletries so the thought of being in the same place scared him. How would this whole thing go down? He would try his hardest to remain calm for the duration of the evening but Louis had a way of getting under Harry's skin like no other.
He parked in the spot he always did and sat there for a few minutes trying to figure things out. He knew the guys would sense his presence and were most likely waiting for Harry to enter the building. Harry, what are you waiting for? Just go in, already! He told himself.
Yeah, Harry. We're waiting, Liam's voice said calmly in his mind. He was shocked to hear his voice after three weeks of being without it. Guess I better, go then.
Harry unlocked the apartment door but couldn't find the strength to open it. Thankfully, he didn't have to when
Niall swung the door open and pulled Harry into a tight embrace, "I've missed you, mate!"
Without thinking, Harry returned the hug and felt tears threatening to fall from his eyes, "Me too, Nialler. Me too." Zayn and Liam quickly joined the group hug and Harry realized just how much he had missed his best friends. After a few seconds, the boys finally let go and Harry scanned the room for Louis.
"Where is he?" He asked them.
Their happy expressions changed to sad ones. Liam and Zayn exchanged looks that Harry couldn't read while Niall's eyes began to water. "What happened? What are you guys not telling me!?" He demanded.
"Harry....Lou's....missing."
