On approaching my work place, I unlocked the door with my identity code, and my card; and on stepping the room, I greeted the rest of the team already present. It was an off day but since we were due to submit the report on the latest software, we were running a few tests before I gave my final nod to them to submit the report. Taking my seat behind the desk, I signaled my manager Shashank to proceed but his face said another story.

"What's wrong?" I kept my eyes glued to him to read him carefully.

"As much as our professional life is concerned, we are far ahead then we should be but I'm doubtful about your personal life, Sir." He answered in his puzzling way.

"Well, then let's strike a balance between both and you start from what you have to say?" I stood up and he smiled at me.

"We have the information on the Sinha family, but it doesn't look so well. I hope you know with whom you are dealing. They don't sound very cool people." He said dryly and I have to give him the credit of honesty in this matter. He never lied to me about anything and I can guarantee that fact because what Raisha has told me is also not very cool. Its as complicated as a jigsaw.

"I suppose I'm not dealing with penguins then...," I joked.

"No, just super hungry vultures...," Shashank added and in the otherwise silent place where we never discussed jokes, there was a blast of the mirthful laughter.

"How much hungry are they, Shashank?"

"As ravenous to even sell the mansion at a price ten times higher than ever, and if the need arises, they might even sell Dr. Raj Sinha...but given that he's the Chief of Staff at the Scott's, some consolation price must be there...,"

"Then we sell them before they decide to harm a hair on my father-in-law because if due to anyone, my fiancée felt any kind of stress then even their forefathers won't be able to save them from me and I mean every word of it." I emphasized on every word, and I was certain, all five of them understood my need of secrecy here in matters of my personal life.

"You're becoming a pro in handling angry owls," he joked again, and I looked at him with curious eyes.

"Credit goes to the mighty Viraj Khandelwal." I clarified and all of them laughed. Since, I needed someone to cover my tracks from my father, I've revealed them the depth of his insanity when it comes to controlling me.

And they know, how humiliating and extremely horrendous his retaliation becomes, but none of us, mind that. We've been hiding my success from him for three years now, and I guess, we can hide a few more.

But one reason I liked to talk with Shashank was that even he didn't have his biological parents and then his foster parents passed away two years ago. He was as miserable as me; although, he is older to me by a few years and more mature I feel, but it's the comfort level we have, that makes me want to talk to him about these issues. And he does that too.

"Your old man is becoming investigative between?"

"How much?"

"As much as he might pull his hair out in the next few days or might even come at the college and drag you back to demand answers." I rolled my eyes.

I knew they all loved to troll my father after knowing about him, and it makes me laugh. They understand his ambitious nature but what they don't get is why doesn't he see beyond himself. Even I don't do that and it's the only thing that makes me sad. Perhaps, Bitter and vengeful towards him.

"Keep his head rolling in concrete, then. I suppose he will look hot when he turns bald because I don't find any smartness in him now. What do you guys think?"
