Another two weeks had went by and August had gotten work from the apartment complex that she was looking to move into, that they were ready for her to move in.

August had quickly went downstairs to find Shay, who'd been working outside the shelter as a landscaper, to tell her the good news. "They said I can move in by next week!" She exclaimed with a bright smile. Shay set the pot of roses she had in her hand down and embraced August in a hug. "I'm so excited for you, August!" Shay whispered into her ear. August sighed pulling away from Shay "but that means I have to leave and we won't be able to see each other again. You already know that I plan on working as much as I can until I get up the amount of money i need to move after Sophias birth and the day is quickly arising" she huffed in frustration. Sophia had been extremely active these past few days and she knew that it was only a matter of time before the little girl was ready to come out, it was one of the reasons why August had been taking in more shifts so that she could pay for her stay in the hospital and not lose so much money from the birth.

"I know" Shay frowned "but maybe we can keep in contact and go out a few times after Sophia's birth. I don't want to lose this friendship."

"Neither do I" August agreed.

Right after speaking with Shay, August headed back into the shelter and began to email the apartment complexes manager to set up a date so that she can start moving in. She let the lady know that she was pregnant and that she was living in a shelter so the sooner she could get moved in, the better. The woman, Farrah, agreed to let her move the following Monday without any extra fees which August was grateful for. Once done, August spoke with the shelters manager who gladly helped August fill out any forms that needed to be signed so that august could leave whenever. She was then asked if she needed help moving anything into her apartment to which august declined. She didn't have any furniture that she could bring because it all belonged to the shelter so she made a mental note to walk down to a thrift store soon.

When she was done August walked back upstairs and down the hall to the built in cubby on their floor. It held a landline that August used to contact her boss. She asked if she could pick up any extra shifts for the rest of the week and after confirming that they had one open on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 1pm to 7pm August took the offer. She didn't mind that she'd be tired by the end of the week because everything was falling into place for her. She'd moved out of Williams apartment, gotten a place to stay, got a job and now her final two steps was giving birth to Sophia and moving far away from New York and with the way things were going, she estimated she'd be able to leave New York in 3 months.

Monday arrived and it was time for August to head to her new apartment. She had her bags packed and ready to go while she waited on her taxi to arrive. Shay was downstairs looking at jobs hiring when August made her way down with her bags. "I still can't believe your leaving" Shay sighed as she looked at the bags in Augusts's hand, august gave her a side smile "I can't believe it either. Everything seems to be working out right now" she chuckled softly "you can still come you know? It's a one bedroom but the living room can be made into a bedroom if you'd like." Shay shook her head with a solemn smile "I'm fine, August. Plus I don't have a job and I would rather you not have an extra mouth to feed when you already have two" she motion towards Augusts's belly. Augusts's face scrunched up in disagreement but nevertheless she let the matter go.

If Shay ever changed her mind then she had Augusts's address and knew the dates that August would be moving.

A honk from outside drew their attention towards the door, outside waiting beside a yellow taxi was a bolding hispanic man leaning against the vehicle. August quickly made her way out side after giving Shay one last hug and hopped into the taxi without a second thought. The taxi driver started the car before glancing back at her "address?" August slipped him a piece of paper. The man nodded after reading the address before crumbling the paper up and throwing it in a small travel size garbage bin in the front sit. August sat back and relaxed.
