(Kasumi's POV)
"Alright, break time!" I shouted at Rosie, who was on her fourth lap. She's been doing very good today, but now she's exhausted. As she came over to me sluggishly, I pulled out some sandwiches and held one out.
"Here."
She took it and ate greedily, making me chuckle.
"You're doing a very good job Rosie," I complemented as I ate my sandwich. Her eyes sparkled with determination.
"I'll *pant* do the *pant* best I can," she struggled to speak. I shook my head and continued eating. My team's out doing missions. D-rank missions. Oh how I'm not looking forward to that. It's basically gonna be weed picking and finding a lost cat. Mom said that's usually it. I'm lucky that I get to skip out on those missions by training Rosie. Of course, dad doesn't know. He just thinks that I'm skipping those missions because I don't want to, which is actually half of the reason I'm here.
After I finished my sandwich, I stood up, catching Rosie's attention.
"You're exhausted. Go back to the house while I work on my training," I told her. She nodded, stood up, and walked towards the house. After making sure she's out of sight, I poofed to The Tree and laid down on the couch. There, I breathed in and out and felt my spirit exit my body.
My spirit, only visible to my eyes, is pretty light. I forgot how different it feels like to be in this body rather than my other. I roamed around the tree house, just passing time. Hm, I guess I can pay my team a visit. I smirked and used my spirit speed to find my teammates. I laughed when I saw them trailing a cat. Yup. It's the cat mission.
I jumped up to the tree dad's in and tapped is shoulders, making him jump. He looked around and sighed.
"Kasumi, what are you doing? You should help with the mission and train later," he said, making me shake my head and sigh. He couldn't hear me of course.
I walked towards the cat and scooped it up, startling the poor thing. It started hissing and scratching, so I threw it to the nearest person. Naruto.
"Agghh! Get it off! Gett it off!" he yelled, making me giggle. Ty-lee came out of the bushes, looking around for something.
"Kasumi?" she whispered, making me go up to her and tap her shoulder. She squeaked in surprise before glaring at nothing. I presume she's trying to glare at me.
"Where's Rosie? She wasn't at the house yesterday," she said. I bent down and wrote in the dirt: She's at the house. I just finished training her.
She growled and stomped away. Yeesh, what got her panties in a twist?
"Alright," dad said while walking out of some bushes, "The mission is a success. Let's go to the Hokage's office. Kasumi, get back in your body."
I smiled at my teammate's puzzled expression. Ty-lee "hmphed" and turned around. Chuckling, I made my way back to my body with the (awesome) super speed. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever get enough of that.
I entered my tree house and placed my palm on my physical body's forehead. I breathed in and out and felt my spirit get sucked back into my body. While opening my eyes, I got up, stretched, and headed for the Hokage's office. Knocking on the door, I heard a gruff "Come in" and entered.
My team, Lord Hokage, Iruka-sensei, and some old drunk is here.
"Eh? Who's this? Another runt?" the old drunk asked, making me gain an irk mark. I just got here and I can already feel a headache coming.
"Kasumi, you're late," dad lightly scolded, making my team (except Sasuke of course. He's too emo) cough to hide a snicker.
"Wonder where I got that from," I told him sarcastically before nodding my head to the old drunk.
