Hey guys! Notice the new book cover? I hope you like it, because that was both long and fun to make. Now, on to the world of Kasumi!

----------------

All of us contestants surrounded the Forest of Death, Anko the center of attention.

"T-That place looks so creepy," Sakura muttered from my right. Ty-lee nodded in agreement.

"You guys are about to find out why we call it the "Forest of Death"!"

"'Ooo, you're about to find out why we call it the "Forest of Death'," Naruto mocked as he wiggled his butt around. "Like that's supposed to scare me!"

I took a step away from him, glad once again that I'm not on his team.

"Oh, you're a cocky one, aren't ya?" Anko grinned. She suddenly threw a kunai towards Naruto, and it whizzed past the creepy Grass Ninja's hair, cutting off a few strands. The kunai whooshed past Naruto's cheek, leaving a cut deep enough to draw blood. Anko suddenly appeared right next to Naruto and licked the blood off his cheek. I cringed in disgust and pity for Naruto.

"I love it when you kids spill that sweet blood. Your kind is always the first to...die," Anko smirked creepily. The creepy Grass Ninja suddenly appeared right behind Anko, holding Anko's kunai with...her...tongue...

I took a step back as the Grass Ninja glanced at me with her cold calculating eyes. My breath caught in my throat as she smirked and flicked her tongue around.

"I believe you dropped your kunai," the Grass Ninja said. Anko took it with her bare hands, not minding the saliva dripping down the kunai handle.

"Thank," she smiled, "but I don't think you should stand right behind me radiating bloodlust...unless you're in a hurry for an early end."

"My apologies," the Grass Ninja backed away. "I'll try to keep it under control. It's just the sighed of warm fresh blood makes me a little crazy, and not to mention you cut off a strand of my precious hair."

"I'm sorry about that," Anko said, though it was clear in her voice that she didn't mean her apology. "Looks like we have a hot-blooded team on our hands. Heh."

Anko let go of Naruto and faced the crowd of terrified genins, including me. That Grass Ninja is someone I need to stay away from. She definitely has a connection to that snake.

"All right," Anko shouted. "Before we start, there's something I have to hand out." She took out a stack of papers from her coat and handed it to the team at the front. "They're consent forms to confirm that if you die, then I won't be held responsible. It's great, isn't it? Hahahaha!"

The papers were passed around, each of the genins getting one. I looked over mine and sighed. This is too much to read. I'll just sign it anyway.

"After you sign it, you and your team must go to that tent over there and submit your forms," Anko pointed to the small tent right near the gate surrounding the forest. "Now, to put it simply, the exam is a survival test."

"Survival?" Sakura squeaked.

"Yes. Here's a map of the forest. You see that tower in the center? You're supposed to bring your scrolls there. Now, I'll explain the scrolls in a moment. During your test, you may use any weapons, jutsus, basically anything at your disposal to defeat enemies, which are other teams or ferocious creatures."

Anko then took out two scrolls from her pocket and held it out for us to see. "These are the heaven and earth scrolls. You are supposed to obtain both of them before heading to the tower. We'll pass out the scrolls in a minute. One half of you genins get the heaven scroll. The other half gets the earth scroll. So the objective is to hold on to your scroll, obtain the opposite scroll, and then bring them both in to pass. Get it?"
