(Kasumi's POV)

My alarm clock sounded off at six forty-five, making me groan. I have to meet the team at seven, and I'm not looking forward to what dad's planning.

I sat up from bed (Yes, I slept on the bed this time) and stretched, making weird groaning noises (let's face it, we all do it). I yawned and made my way to the kitchen fridge, looking at all the possible things I can have for breakfast. Shrugging, I decided to have something simple. I grabbed an apple and exited the tree house, climbing down the latter. While eating my apple, I ran to the training grounds, not wanting to upset dad further. Oh, who am I kidding? He's going to be late anyways.

I ran into the training grounds and saw my team at the clearing. Three out of four of them look ready to drop.

"Hey guys," I said casually as I strolled up to them. Naruto and Sakura sprang up and pointed their fingers at me.

"YOU'RE LATE!" they shouted in sync. I sighed and sat down near one of the stumps. I guess I should've known they'd react like this. I flicked Ty-lee, making her turn to me with an irk mark.

"What," she growled out. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Where's Rosie?"

"She's at the house. Apparently, Kakashi deemed her ready to stay home alone."

"Alright."

I wonder what Rosie's doing. Most likely reading the book about the basics of a shinobi. I really don't know if she's alright being alone. An enemy ninja could just burst into the house looking for the Copy Ninja and find Rosie instead. Who knows what they'd do to her. She can't even fight back. Dad, what are you thinking?

Ty-lee closed her eyes then dropped to the ground. Great, she passed out. Sakura came over and leaned against one of the wooden stumps then also closed her eyes. Naruto looked around then sighed. I beckoned him over and patted the ground next to me. His eyes sparkled and he smiled as he made his way over to me. He plopped by my side before leaning against the wooden stump, just like me.

"Hn," Sasuke said as he crossed his arms.

"You know Sasuke, dad has a tendency to be late. You might as well get comfortable," I told him as I leaned my head on Naruto's shoulder. Sasuke sighed before uncrossing his arms and sat down, as far away from us as possible.

Naruto stretched before leaning against me, so my head is in the crook of his neck while his is on top of mine. While I may have just met the boy yesterday, I can't help but feel close to him already. He has this thing that just pulls me towards him. Not in a romantic way, but in a friendly way. I have a feeling that we'll be great friends in the future, and I'm definitely looking forward to it. As I got more comfortable on Naruto's shoulder, I felt someone's gaze on me. I didn't bother to look though.

*3 hours later*

I woke when I felt dad approach us. Sasuke also woke, making me wonder when he fell asleep. Actually, everyone's asleep besides Sasuke and I.

Dad raised an eyebrow at Naruto, who sometime during his sleep moved and ended up with his head on my lap. I didn't mind. It sort of feels natural.

Dad cleared his throat and motioned to the sleeping Sakura and Ty-lee, making both Sasuke and I slightly groan. I gently shook Naruto, who groaned and sat up. I walked over to Ty-lee and shook her, Sasuke doing the same to Sakura. While Ty-lee woke up, Naruto and Sakura caught sight of dad, making them shoot up and point an accusing finger at him.

"YOU'RE LATE!" they shouted as if they didn't just wake up. Ty-lee, Sasuke and I all covered our ears.

"Quiet dobe," Sasuke said, making Sakura quickly apologize while Naruto glared at him. Dad cleared his throat, not wanting this to progress any further.
