Chapter 2- I'm an academy ninja? Really?

(Kasumi's POV)

Ow! Dang it! Itachi and Kisame didn't go easy on me at all! Gosh next time I see them--

"You're awake!" I heard someone exclaim. I looked to my left and saw a nurse at the doorway.

"No kidding," I muttered. She walked up to me and started a checkup. When she was done, she turned to face me.

"You're free to go. I'll send you're father in here," she told me before walking away. I stared at the wall. My father eh? I haven't seen him in a while. But the question is, do I forgive him? I made a face. I don't really know.

I heard the door slide open, breaking me from my thoughts. Looking up, I saw the Hokage and my father entering my room. The Hokage smiled at me while my father sighed in relief and hugged me awkwardly. I didn't hug back. It just didn't seem right. My father pulled back, and I caught a little bit of hurt in his eyes- well, eye.

"First off, welcome back Kasumi. We've been searching for you, but could never find a lead. I'm glad you came back. I would say safely, but won't for obvious reasons, " the Hokage spoke. I smiled a little.

"Welcome back Kasumi," dad said. I glanced at him and slightly smiled. Just because I don't know what to make of him doesn't mean I should ignore him. He's my dad for kami's sake!

"We need to know where you've been the past years. Can you explain to us?" the Hokage asked. I looked at the old man in front of me.

"There's too much to explain. Can you just ask questions and I'll answer?" I whined. The Hokage chuckled.

"Yes, we can do that. Hmm, first question? What happened right after Orochimaru kidnapped you?" he asked.

"After I fainted, I woke up in a room. I assumed it was one of his hideouts, and I was right," I told him.

"Can you tell us the location?" dad asked. I looked down.

"I never knew. I hardly left the hideout, but when I did, they would blindfold me. The reason for that is because we would move to a different location every week."

"I see," the Hokage spoke again. "We recieved intel that Orochimaru joined the Akatsuki. Is that true?"

"It's true," I said.

"Can you describe the members? Tell us what they're planning?"

"Orochimaru never let me out of his room, but he would mention his fellow members' names. I only know Kisame Hoshigaki and Itachi-kun. Sometimes, they would sneak me out to train me."

"Interesting. Anything else?"

"I got experimented by Orochimaru, gained a curse mark, obtained wood style, which by the way, hurt, and nearly got killed by the other Akatsuki members durning my sleep," I explained. They looked surprised. Well, it's not everyday you hear that your child has a curse mark and wood style. Dad sighed.

"I'm just glad your back," he said while hugging me again. He stood up and headed for the door with the Hokage in tow.

"I'll check you out then we'll go, alright?" dad asked. I nodded my head.

"You also start the ninja academy today, so be ready by eight," the Hokage told me. When they left, I stared at the wall. I feel guilty for lying to them, but I have to keep the promise I made. Also, I don't want to die.

Glancing to my left, I saw my clothes neatly folded on the end table. I would've been grateful that the nurse- or whoever it was- folded it, but it's all torn up, so it's pretty useless. Still, I grabbed it and took it to the bathroom. I quickly changed and and exited the bathroom, heading to the front desk. It's been a while since I've been here, but luckily, I still know my way. Barely.
