18. Fireworks

Elizabeth’s POV

                The ride lasted about seven minutes then it was over. It did seem quite short but having the opportunity to see everything from a different perspective was quite interesting and beautiful especially with all of the lights.

                “Let’s go down to the pier the fireworks will be starting soon” Zayn suggested as he looked down at his watch.

                We all agreed and walked down to the pier, there were already a few people there waiting for the fireworks to start. It was starting to get a little bit more chilly than before I grabbed the edges of my leather jacket and placed one on top of the other than crossed my arms over my chest to keep my hands warm.

                After we were about halfway down we all stopped and leaned against the railing looking out into the view in front of us. A few waves were crashing around the shore. The moon would give off just enough light to see the outline of the ocean its reflection could be seen in the water. The light post above us started to flicker but it never turned off.

                “Are you cold?” Harry asked looking down at me cocking his head slightly to the side.

“Yea a little bit” I said shyly giving him a nod. He smiled at me and wrapped his arms around me and held me close to the side of his body, his body heat radiating off of him and kept me warm.

Suddenly there was a loud bang and we all quickly snapped our heads up and saw the pink sparks light up in the sky. We all stood there as if we were frozen watching all of the fireworks go off. Some of the fireworks where just one colored or mixed, but they would also come out in different directions forms and sizes.  Every single time one of the fireworks would go off in a different direction and mix together with the sparks from the previous one it would earn several gasps form the crowd the was watching. The fireworks looked absolutely mesmerizing, I could not look away. I could stay here forever if I could.

My trance was quickly taken away by a flash blinding me from the corner of my eye. I blinked and turned my head and saw Eleanor holding her cellphone in her hands.

“You two look so cute!” she said smiling brightly at us and Louis just shook his head.

“Eleanor” Harry whined rolling his eyes at her and released me. I giggled.

“I ruined the moment didn’t i?” Eleanor asked looking at Harry.

“Yea pretty much” he said with a small smile so she wouldn’t feel bad.

Louis wrapped his arm around Eleanor’s waist and pulled her to his side and went back to look at the fireworks.

Harry sighed and turned to look at me.” I’m sorry, this night wasn’t supposed to be like this. It was supposed to be something for you to remember. A night where you had fun and not have any interruptions from all of my idiot friends” He said with a sighed and placed his hands on the railing looking out into the view in front of us.

I shook my head. “Harry I did have fun, I’ve grown to love all of them” I placed my hand on his shoulder and he looked down at me.

“So what if she took a picture? At least we will have something to store as a memory for later of this amazing night” I said and he smiled at me and wrapped his arms around my waist and pressed me against him.

“Do over?” His said softly to me and I nodded. He looked at my lips then back into my eyes.

“Would you just kiss her already!!”   Liam, Zayn, Louis and Niall said at the same time.  Harry groaned and rolled his eyes.

“Guys please stop it!” Harry yelled annoyed but I could tell that there was a light blush on his cheeks.

I giggle. “Would you just kiss me already” I said my hands on his upper arms. He smiled at me and placed his hand under my chin and slowly leaned in pressing his soft lips against mine.

I heard a flash go off but I couldn’t be bothered with it I was pretty sure that it was Eleanor again.

“Finally!” Louis said once Harry pulled away from me and he just chuckled.

                Once we were out in the parking lot we were all saying goodbye to one another. I gave a hug to each and every one of them.

“It was such a pleasure to meet you all” I said smiling at them.

Perrie, Sophia and Eleanor walked over to me and gave me a group hug and I couldn’t help but hug them back and smile.

“We should totally go shopping together!” Perrie said once they had pulled away.

“I’d love to” I said nodding at her. “I still have to find a dress for the winter formal”

Niall walked over to me and placed his arm around my shoulder. “That is if Harry isn’t keeping you busy” Niall said teasing me and I blushed.

“Shut up would you!” I said pushing him away and he laughed walking away to his car.

“That’s perfect we also need to shop for our dresses as well” Sophia said and with that they all turned around and climbed into their car going their separate ways.

Harry grabbed my hand and walked us to his car and helped me inside. He climbed in and turned on the car as he pulled out he reached over and turned on the heater.

“Thanks for today, I had so much fun” I said buckling my seat belt. He briefly looked at me and smiled before he focused his eyes back on the road.

“You’re welcome and that’s why I asked you to go. I wanted you to have fun and it was one of the best nights I have ever had” he said simply.
