31. Island in the Sun

Elizabeth’s POV

                Once we all arrived at the school, the photographer took our picture at the entrance before allowing us to go inside. As we walked into the gymnasium we couldn’t believe what we saw, it looked so stunning I have never seen anything like it.   There were so many purple pink and blue lights hanging from the roof. There was a dance floor and all over the edges were white tables and chairs. There was a beautiful white sparkly chandelier hanging over the dance floor that made patterns onto the wall making them look like snowflakes.     

“This is amazing!” Perrie says as we all sit down at one of the empty tables. There were a few small candles in the center on a small silver plate.

“It is, it’s so beautiful” I said as Harry pulled his chair closer to me and placed his arm around my shoulder I reached up and locked my fingers with his. Gently, he slowly rubbed his thumb over our fingers.

We stayed at our table and after about ten minutes, a few more students start to arrive and the music started to pick up.  The DJ was on the other side of the gym on the small stage; several of the students were dancing or were in small groups talking.

Harry gasped. “Oh I love this song!” Harry said with a huge smile on his face. “Let’s go dance” he said standing up grabbing my hand leading us away from the table and into the pool of people on the dance floor.

“Harry I can’t dance” I said embarrassed biting my lower lip.

“Its easy love, here let me show you” Harry said swaying back and forth in front of me. “It’s like being in the ocean letting the water move to you from side to side.” He grabbed my hands and swayed me from side to side; once I got the hang of it he released my hands. “There you go!”

I smiled up at him and giggled. He grabbed my hands as we both swayed back and forth and pulled me closer to him.

Louis’s POV

We were all watching Harry dance with Elizabeth and he looked so happy, they both did. I smiled at them, I felt Eleanor squeeze my hand.

“They look so cute together!” Eleanor said with a huge smile.

“Yea, it’s good to see him this happy after all of this time.” Niall said taking a drink of his water.

“Let’s take a picture!” Sophia said taking out her phone and snapped a picture of Elizabeth and Harry. “This is totally going on instagram!” she said looking at the scream and Liam gave out a small laugh.

I looked over at Eleanor to ask her to dance with me but her eyes were focused at something else. I followed her gaze and saw her starring at Mandy near the entrance.

“Great she is going to ruin everything” Perrie grumbled looking at Mandy who was making her way through the small crowd to Harry and Elizabeth.

“Not for long, Come on” Sophia said standing up walking towards Mandy, Eleanor and Perrie followed right behind her.

Sophia’s POV

                I got up from my seat and started to make my way towards Mandy. She is really getting on my nerves, can’t this girl take a hint. I quickly made my way and stood right in front of her.

“Hey Mandy” I said covering her path to Harry and Elizabeth, Eleanor and Perrie stood on either side of me.

“Just stop Mandy! If Harry wanted you he would have asked you to come to the formal with him but he didn’t” Eleanor said shaking her head.

“Yea, so stop embarrassing yourself because it is just sad” Perrie said giving her a small sympathetic smile.

Mandy gave us a glare then looked behind us; I assume that she was looking at Harry and Elizabeth; she quickly turned around and walked away.

“Nice talking to you!” Eleanor smiled raising her hand up and gave a small wave.

“Bye!”  Perrie said and we all turned to look at one another and high-five each other letting out small giggles. 

We all turned to look at Harry and Elizabeth and we squeezed each other’s hands feeling joyed. Harry grabbed Elizabeth’s hands and spun her around to press her back against his chest.  She smiled looking up at him, their hands interlocked with each other’s they swayed back and forth, Harry bend down and pecked her lips. I smiled biting my lip.

“Now, let them be. We should get back to our boys!” I said and I pulled them through the crowd back to our table.
