Waking up the next morning, my alarm went off at 8:00 a.m. to the old school tune of Jagged Edge's "Let's Get Married." Jumping out of the bed, I threw the curtains open, allowing sunlight to beam into the room and waking the rest of the girls up. Looking out the window, it appeared to be a beautiful day with the waves rolling in along the shore, the palm trees blowing in the wind, and not a cloud in the sky. The day was finally here, it was our wedding day.

Not having to do much to get the others awake, it seemed as if adrenaline was pumping through the room as we all seemed way to excited. One of the gifts my mom had purchased for me and the other girls as well was light purple satin robes and slippers. On the front of mine was the monogrammed initials, GMD, the initials I would have once I was married and on the back was the words Mrs. McCreery. The other girls had their respective monograms on the front of theirs and either Maid of Honor or Bridesmaid on the back. Slipping them on, we made it quickly downstairs to the terrace of the hotel, overlooking the beach, for our bridal breakfast, a Southern girl's tradition on her wedding day.

Once outside, we noticed three long white tables with floral arrangements that matched my wedding bouquet on each one. My mom and Scotty's mom were already waiting on us and they looked as if they had both been awake for hours. Laughing to myself, I thought the rest of us most likely looked a sight after having jumped out of the bed and raced down here. Breakfast being provided by the hotel staff, and on the menu was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, toast, and served in tall wine glasses was freshly squeezed orange juice.

Spending the next hour and a half talking about the plans for the day, we finished up and all retreated back to my hotel room where we would begin getting ready. With the wedding not being until five, some may have thought it crazy to start getting ready at ten o'clock, but we were set to take pictures at two this afternoon and time would soon start soaring by.

When Lauren Alaina had found out about our engagement, she kept asking me day in and day out what she could do to help until I finally felt obligated to give her a task. Deciding on asking her to have her hair stylist and make-up artist there for my big day, I was thankful when she had agreed because it had meant that none of us would have to leave the hotel to go and get those things done.

Making our way back to the room from the terrace, I was pleased to see her hair stylist, make up artist and their assistants waiting patiently for us outside my hotel door. Opening the door, we began prepping immediately. Deciding to wear my half up, we pulled it to one side and secured it with several bobby pins using a curling iron to give it loose flowing curls. Attaching the veil to the back of my head, it didn't take long to complete and I was very satisfied with the outcome. While I was getting my makeup done, the hair stylist worked with the other girls to pull their hair all the way up in a somewhat French twist and to leave a few strands framing their faces. Having their hair all the way up, it was sure to accent the back of their bridesmaid dresses.

Surprisingly it was now a little after one and as everyone helped me to get into my dress, I turned to look at myself in the full length mirror. The last time I had had this dress on was four months ago in New York and now I was wearing it again, except this time it was my wedding day. Yes, it was actually here.

Walking over to the night stand, I retrieved the necklace and earrings that Scotty had given me the night before and asked my mom to help me put them on while the hair stylist doused my hair with another coat of hairspray making sure that it definitely would not fall before five o'clock this evening.

Watching as the girls put on their dresses, they were each one so very beautiful and I knew that we could not have made a better choice. Making final touches on all of us before we left, we began to make our way down to the beach.
