Watching them walk out the door, mixed emotions flooded over me. Little boys always hold a special place in their mother's heart and mine wasn't so little anymore. No, he was growing up and didn't need me as much as he once did. I was no longer the only woman in his life, and while that made me sad, I was also happy that God had blessed him with someone like Gabi.

Looking towards Mike, I asked, "Do you think they will be okay?"

Laughing, he pulled me close, "Judy, those two remind me so much of me and you, they really love each other. Watching Scotty and the way he looks at her, it makes me feel so happy that he's found that special someone. So to answer your question, yes they are going to be better than okay."

Shrugging my shoulders, I moved closer to him, "But Mike, they are both so young. They just graduated from high school a few months ago. Are you sure they're ready for this big step?"

Sitting up straighter, he stretched his arm across the couch, nodding his head towards me...."Judy, they've already taken that big step. They are engaged and they're getting married next month. Besides, I don't think they're too young. Do you remember how old we were?," he asked.

Muttering to myself, I said, "Twenty." He laughed, "What was that? I didn't quite hear you."

Saying it a little louder and crossing my arms, I repeated, "Twenty Mike, we were twenty."

Smiling he said, "See, we weren't much older than they are right now. By the time they get married, they will be nineteen. Yes, I agree with you that that's young, but it's seemed to work out for us so far. There's no doubt in my mind that it will work out for them as well."

I smiled, and laid my head on his shoulder, "How are you always right?"

He squeezed me tightly and whispered,"Because sweetheart,I'm never wrong," he smiled.

Pulling into the parking lot of the apartment, Scotty shifted his truck into park and turned towards me, stretching his arm out across the seat.

"Do you have to leave right now?," I asked, with pleading eyes...."I mean, it is only 9:30 p.m., it's not that late."

He laughed, "I suppose I could stay for a little while, but you are going to bed early tonight little lady," he winked

"Let me be the judge of that," I said, as I reached for the door handle...."Race you to the door?,"

Smiling, he said, "Babe, you'll never beat me."

Jumping down from the truck, I turned back towards him, "Never say never. Besides, I have a head start," I said as I darted away from the truck

As I made it to the door, I placed my hand on the wall, gasping for breath as I felt his arms wrap around my waist. Turning to face him, I smiled...."How did you catch up with me so fast?," I said, in between breaths.

He smiled, "Baby, I told you I was fast."

"Hmmm, are you fast in all areas?," I teased.

Putting his hand against the wall, he leaned towards me, and whispered...."Hmmm you tell me, you found out last night," he winked and pulled me towards him, kissing me softly.

After a few minutes, I pulled away and fumbled nervously with my keys, trying to find the right one to unlock the door.Walking inside the apartment, I had assumed that we would be alone and so it surprised me when I saw Ashley and Austin cuddling on the couch and watching a movie. Yes, I had to admit that I had not talked to her much and we really needed to catch up. Were her and Austin an item now?
