when the characters introduce themselves, it will be last name first then first name. Also, my original characters will have their first names typed out instead of their last name so there's no confusion. Examples: ...Oh, I'm Amachi Haruka." She smiled sweetly as she sat next to you.... "You think so?" Haruka asked. She rubbed the back of her neck. "Maybe."

NOTE

I am only posting this chapter as a "preview". I'll actually start updating later on when I finish season 2 and catch up with my current stories.

It was a warm, sunny day. All the children were playing their hearts out on the playground. Two in particular were enjoying themselves in the sandbox.

"Wow, [nickname]," a green, curly haired boy says in awe. "You're really good at making sand castles."

You looked away from your creation, giving your best friend a big grin. "Thank you, Izuchan!" You glance at his sand castle, curiously staring at it.

"Ah, don't look!" Midoriya exclaims as he tries to hide the castle with embarrassment. "It's not really good."

Your lips took an 'o' shape, feeling a little upset he wanted to hide it. "Eh? Not even! It's cute!"

Midoriya's castle was indeed cute. Although it was leaning and sand was sleeping out, it was cute. The little All Might flag waving in the wind at the top and some pebbles around the small castle was perfect. The way it seemed to match his personality; You cooed at it.

You pulled the flag that had been atop your castle and placed it right next to his. Now he had a mini Lady Love flag with his All Might flag.

Lady Love was one of the top female heroes, placing number eight in the whole hero division. She was a beautiful, young woman with long, pinkish hair. You admired her for her kindness and gentle care for those in trouble. You'd seen her in action many times on television but never in real person.

You, along with many other people, were in love with her quirk. Her quirk was special and you'd wished that you'd been born just like her. Sadly, of course, in your position, you didn't. You knew you had a quirk since you and your mom went to do checkups almost every other month, but it hadn't shown up.

Quirks were very normal in the world you lived in and they usually pop up when a child is four years old. It was rare when a child was quirkless.

You and your best friend, Midoriya Izuku, always dreamed of becoming the world's number one heroes ever since you'd first met. Unfortunately, Midoriya was one of those few who were quirkless.

All you could do to comfort the boy was to encourage him with all your might and love, reminding him everyday he too could become a hero.

His mood would always brighten because of what you told him but after you say it, he goes back to being sad. For a while, you would hug him until he felt better. It worked every time.

You grinned and hugged the boy tightly. You were hugged back with the same energy and it makes you giggle. You let go but keep your arm around his shoulder.

"Look the two quirkless nobodies playing in the sandbox!" A child exclaims with a snicker.

"Gross," another said.

"Weaklings."

"Weirdos."

"Nerds."

You keep your eyes on the sand castle in front of you, trying not to let their words anger you. You make sure to keep Midoriya from looking back or giving a reaction to their picking.

You hated the bullies that picked on you both, especially when they targeted mostly on Midoriya. You believed he got the bad end of their bullying because you were girl, but you still got pushed around.

When something something hits the back of your head, you realize they want your attention. It felt like a pebble.

You were not going to give them the attention they wanted.

Next to you, Midoriya was slightly shaking, his eyes slowly filling with tears as some more pebbles were tossed at you and him.

"Endure it," you whispered to him. You gripped him tighter, leaning your head closer to his. "It hurts, but we have to take the pain like heroes do."

Midoriya gave a curt nod, trying his best to ignore the taunting of the other children. What made it worse for the two of you was that your former best friend, Bakugo Katsuki, was also making fun of you both.

You gritted your teeth, knowing how Midoriya genuinely looked up to Bakugou and the blond wouldn't give two shits about it all. It upset you. You made sure to tag along with Midoriya to make sure he didn't get hurt when Bakugou was around.

Through the years, you made sure to stay by Midoriya's side. The bullying got worse and worse as time passed, and you couldn't stand that it had usually been most directed at him.

See, Midoriya never received his quirk. All the students knew about him being quirkless.

You, on the other hand, got your quirk no later than the end of elementary. It surprised you because no quirk comes as late as that.

What scared you the most was that you began hearing voices in your head. Near the end of the sixth grade, you heard people talking one at a time. It was a different person each time you looked at someone. There were also times where you would walk next to Midoriya and he would 'forget' you were there. You thought you were going crazy and believed you were just hallucinating, that something wasn't right. When you told your parents, they took you to the doctor and that's where you were informed that your quirk was forming.

The beginning of your junior high life quickly came to a close when your dad pulled you out. He decided it was best you learned to use your quirk correctly at home; therefore, you were homeschooled.

You didn't really understand why you needed to learn to control your quirk at home. You could've practiced when you'd get home from school, but it seemed your parents didn't want that.

You were beyond upset because you could no longer see Midoriya. He was your best friend and your parents were taking him away from you.

At night, you would stay up and just think about him. How was he? Is he still the sweet boy you learned to love as your friend? Did he get his quirk? Was it late like yours?

One night, you felt lonely. Isolated in the house with only your parents wasn't the best experience as a preteen.

That night you cried. You usually never cried unless your emotions were bottled up for too long.

You hugged yourself under the blanket as you looked out your bedroom window. The full moon shown in the sky and you could see the stars clearly.

"Izuchan..." you whisper as the tears slowly go down your cheeks.
