You groan as you rub your head in frustration. You were currently working on homework your dad put together for you and there was a question you had no idea what it asked for. Math could be so confusing sometimes.Your dad noticed you struggling, but kept quiet. He knew you were a smart girl and could figure it out. He had no doubt you could get it.
"Oh," he said, realizing he hadn't had the talk with you yet. The tapping from your pencil ceased as a sign you were acknowledging him. "(Y/n), there's something I've been meaning to ask of you."
"Dad," You whined as you look up. "Can't you see I'm trying to work here?" You sigh, holding your head. You place your pencil down. You didn't really like being interrupted while you were concentrating on something. It irritated you. "Just when I was getting it too."
You raised an eyebrow at your middle-aged father, his old, (e/c) irises meeting your matching orbs. "Yes?"
He took his glasses off and leaned forward against the table, ignoring your little glare. "How would you feel about returning to school?"
The world seemed to stop and his words repeated in your mind. Going back to school? That's what he asked you.
A new form of happiness seeped into your heart as your face broke out into a wide grin. After years of being homeschooled, you were finally given the chance to be with other people your age.
You jumped out of your seat, literal sparkles surrounding you. You clasped your hands together with such hope. "School?! As in, other people learning with me? An actual school?"
Your dad covered his eyes slightly, peeking from the cracks. "So bright," he mumbled, bringing his hand down. He chuckled and gave you a nod. "Yes, an actual school with other people."
"This..." You slammed your hands on the table, looking down as a shadow covered your expression. The excitement was building up as your brain began making scenes of you hanging out with other peers. "...is the best day ever!"
You appear next to you dad, hugging him from behind. "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!" You pull away and hop behind him. "I can't wait. Oh, it's going to so exciting. I'm going to have teachers again. Classmates! All right! PLUS ULTRA!"
He scratched his head, fixing his hair you had messed up. He glanced behind him before going back to his newspaper. He was smiling softly, your happiness warming his heart. "But under one condition."
You froze in midair, knowing well that this would happen. You sit on your knees with your hands in your lap.
"You are to not, under any circumstance, date."
。。。
You clench your booksack straps, standing in front of your new school's entrance with your dad by your side.
Here you stood right next to one of the best academies in the world and you were going to a student there. It was unbelievable, even you couldn't comprehend it.
You stay close to your dad as he took you through the school, most likely bringing you to the principal's office. You had skipped the first few days of school because your dad didn't want to let you go just yet.
He sighed next to you as you both stood in front a big door. He knocked on the door. "Principal Nezu? It's Abe here with the new student."
"Come in," a small voice replies, your father opening the door. You walk in and bow. When you straighten up, you tighten your ponytail.
As you look up, you immediately see a strange 'person'. "A mouse," you bluntly say loud enough for both males to hear you. You place a hand over your mouth, sheepishly batting your eyelashes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say that."
Nezu shook his head. "It's alright."
"But you do look like a mouse..."
Your dad hit you lightly behind the head. "(Y/n), not the time."
"I'm sorry."
"It's quite alright," Nezu said.
。。。
You take a deep breath as you stand in front of a big door with 1-A print in red on it. The principal had dismissed you and your dad after talking about your schedule You were nervous to meet new people. It's been years since you've met someone new. You were honestly scared.
You bit your lip as there was a sudden giddiness in your heart. You push the doors open and timidly peek in. "Um, I'm sorry," you say. You catch the attention of all the students and the teacher, holding them from their lesson. "Aizawa-sensei?"
The teacher with long, black hair looked tiredly at you. "Yes? Is there something you need?"
"I'm a new student here and I was told this was my class," you reply.
"So you're the new student I was told about?" He sighed as you nodded. He motioned you in and you obeyed, hesitantly closing the door behind you. You step in front of him. "Introduce yourself to the class, and you can go sit in the empty seat in the back."
You looked in the direction he mentioned and noticed it was all the way in the back. You then bow once again, feeling your red ribbon's strings fall against your cheeks. Your legs shook slightly and you smiled shyly to your new classmates. "My name is Abe (Y/n). I hope we can get along."
(Sorry if your hair is red. Just change the color of the ribbon if you like)
(Edit: of course ignore this ^ I was going off of my oc base)You could hear the whispers around you as you feel all eyes on you. As you scan the class, you make eye contact with a familiar pair of green orbs. You quickly look away and hurry to your seat, your heart pumping in an unreasonable pace.
You sit quietly, knowing well everyone was still looking at you. There was this excitement bubbling in your stomach. You bit you lip to hold your smile back. Your feet bounced up and down anxiously as your teacher continued his lesson.
Finally, a place with people your age. People you can actually befriend. Nothing felt better than this.
