I sat at the Bakugou's kitchen table as Mitsuki and Bakugou yell at each other for the fifth time, and it hasn't even been seven minutes since we got back.

I've gotten used to the two bicker for some time now, so it doesn't really bother me that much. Their relationship is unique, I'll give them that.

Ever since my mother's incident, I've gotten closer with the odd family. I mostly stay around after school and leave before dark. Kazue usually isn't home by the time I get to my house and she stays out long past 10, so I wait for her to come back before going to sleep myself.

Kazue has been working nonstop at the police station; helping with rebuilding, checking up on the other officers who were injured, making time for my mother and father. I'm not sure how she does it all.

I heard my father went back to work today. He's been on a break ever since the incident, which took a toll on all of us. His job was what was supporting us at the moment, and Kazue has made many attempts to help but my father won't let.

Mother is still resting in the hospital. She has shown no signs so far of waking up anytime soon and it scares me. Just the thought of her never waking up again is frightening.

"(y/n)," Mitsuki says as she places a plate of apples in the middle of the table. "You've been looking pale lately. Have you been eating and sleeping enough?"

"No," I replied. I clench my teeth and look down. I didn't want to tell her that. I would much rather avoid this subject as much as possible.

"Old hag, don't bother her with your useless questions," Bakugou snaps as he sits in the seat next to me. He grabs an apple piece and bites into it.

I mentally thank Bakugou, sending him a grateful smile.

。。。

"Fuck off, Abe! Get back on your side of the road!!"

I snickered as my character's car pushed Bakugou's harshly against the railing. We had been playing Mario Kart in the living for an hour or so now. His parents had gone out not too long ago to visit my mother and we decided to stay back. Not to brag or anything, but I'm beating Bakugou.

I released the banana peel I got from my random dice and almost chocked from laughing as Bakugou rolled over it.

He yells a long line of curses as I pass the finish line, the words 'winner' across my side of the screen. I holler in victory and throw my legs over Bakugou's. I lean my head back in my arms as I smirk at his annoyed face.

The male's hands popped with small explosions as he tried so hard to contain himself, even though it's obvious he really can't. "You damn bitch!! You cheated!"

"That's what you said the last couple of times I beat you," I retorted, propping my body up with my elbows. I pushed him further from me with my feet. "Don't be a sore loser, Baku-chan. That's unattractive."

"Shut the fuck up, I don't care about that! And don't touch me with your dirty socks!"

"I'll touch you all I want with my socks! You need to stop being such a child!"

"I am not being a child!"

I grabbed the blanket that was behind me and threw it over Bakugou's body, making sure it covered his face. I used my weight and held him down. He demanded me to let him go or he'll blow me up, but I didn't budge. "I'll let you out when you've learned your lesson."

Bakugou goes silent after a few seconds, but it doesn't last long. "Why the hell am I getting pinned down by you?!" He screamed as he easily threw me off.

I laughed and hid behind the arm of the couch, peaking at him. I hadn't realized it before, but being with Bakugou was different from when I hung out with my other friends. And I liked it.

Even though he was always angry for no reason and yelled at others just because he felt like it, he is a real person. He doesn't lie to you and doesn't try to deceive you. At least, I hope he doesn't.

I grinned as Bakugou glared at me. He huffs and turns his attention back to the video game. I crawl on the couch and let my head fall in his lap, taking him completely off guard.

"The hell?"

I smiled up to him, waving him off. "Continue your game. I won't bother~"

He didn't seem too keen about me being there, but he left me be. I took my phone out and decided to reply to my messages from my classmates. Most of them were from Ashido and Midoriya.

I curled my legs so my knees were closer to my body and I answered the others. When I finished, I looked up to see Bakugou concentrating on his game. His red eyes were focused on the screen and I could see the reflection in them. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around his waist, allowing myself to fall asleep.
