Part 10: Awkward

When I saw my new team, two things crossed my mind.

One, I dont belong with them.

Two, "FEAR". As in the Atlesian FEAR spec ops?

Green looked at me sternly

Green: Your new team is like you. They will take you to their dorm.

Like me?

As soon as we stepped out of the elevator we walked towards the team dorm area.

Caroline tried to make small talk.

Caroline: So! Conner! Where you from?

I didn't feel like talking.

I bowed my head.

Finch: Caroline. Lay off him.

Caroline: I didnt say anything bad.

Eric: Yeah. But I've heard he's very anti-social. Like extremely.

I started to say somethin but I cut myself off.

Finch: You might be wondering why Green said we are "like you".

Thats what I was gonna ask.

Finch: Well what hes saying is that all of us have been kicked from a team before.

Eric: And because of that, nobody wants us.

Caroline: So we made ourselves a team.

I nodded

They must of noticed how nervous I was because Finch put his arm around me.

I flinched

Finch: Ah dont worry! You'll fit In just perfectly with us!

Me: I- Thank you...

Caroline: So he does speak!

Eric: He seems to be the type who doesn't talk around people he dosnt know.

Caroline: Well he'll get to know us very fast! Whether he likes it or not!

Me: Thats... Reassuring...

We walked into the dorm they used and I was blown away.

It reminded me of NDGOs room but better.

Caroline pointed to the bed at the very end.

Caroline: That one is yours.

Finch: Right next to me.

I heard a knock on the door

Me: I got it.

I walked over and opened it.

I was suprised to see Gwen standing there.

Just Gwen.

No one else.

Gwen: Heyyy Conner...

I gulped.

Me: Heya... Gwen...

Finch: Eyyyy. Conners got himself a girl!

Eric: NDGO too!

Me: More like a very flirty friend...

Gwen spoke coyly

Gwen: awww... Dont depress me! C'mon!

She grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me down the hall.

Once we reached NDGOs room she opened the door.

I walked in and noticed no one else was there.

Just then the lights dimmed.

I felt hands on my shoulders.
