Haven Part 5: As friends, as family

*4 weeks later*

We sat in the middle of a boring class lecture about grimm combat.

We all sat by our teams so Eric and Caroline sat between me and Sera.

My senses tell me that Sera is jealous.

Well, thats her own fault.

She shouldnt have attacked me based on my family.

I looked at Eric, who was next to me.

He was trying to get my attention.

Me: What is it?

Eric: Sera wrote you somethin. You wanna read it?

Me: Ugh. Fine.

He passed me a note that Sera had written.

It read:

Sera: Meet me in the dorm at 9 p.m.. We need to talk

Nine p.m. was a weird time for her to choose.

Caroline was going to hang out with her friends at that time and Eric would be also be out doing something.

Should I?

Then the bell sounded off.

The Teacher dismissed us and we eagerly rushed out of the room.

Eric: So you actually gonna meet her?

Me: I dont know yet...

My thoughts were interrupted by an Argument between two people in the hall.

It was Sera and her new guy.

Eric: That looks bad.

I listened in

Sera: How could you!?

Guy: It wasnt what you think!

Sera: Your all just the same! Can you at least tell me why?

The guy stood staight up

Guy: Because you... Are... Boring!

He said it with such emphasis and fury that I was expecting to see Sera break down and cry.

Sera shuddered and ran away.

The guy appropriately walked off

Caroline walked up

Caroline: She deserved it.

I looked at her note and put it in my pocket.

I headed off for the training room.

When I got in I was suprised to see team EKAZ in there.

Zayne: Conner! Whats up!

Me: Nothin. Just coming to get tad bit of practice!

I pulled out Couriers Oath and took the sword out of the sheath.

Me: Whos first?

Elliott: Cocky bastard. Alright! Im up!

Me and Elliott stood at opposite sides of the arena.

Zayne: Go!

I charged Elliott who fired at me eith his sniper.

When he fired I slid under his bullet.

I held my sword backwards and slashed at Elliotts stomach but he jumped back.

He folded his weapon in his sword mode and slashed down on me.

I flipped back upwards into a handstand and kicked him in the jaw, sending him five feet in the air.
