"John! Oh my gosh what are you doing here?" Francis said giving him a big hug. John returned the favor and held on to him tightly. "I just got married so I moved!" John squealed. "No way! Where's the ring?" Francis said pulling back to get a good look at John. John held up his left hand to show Francis. "No way you're married Freckles!" He yelled. "I really am!" John said doing a little happy dance. "This is so exciting! We'll be neighbors!" Francis squealed like a thirteen year old girl. "Who's this John?" Alexander asked walking over. "Alex this is Francis Kinloch. One of my old friends. Francis this is my husband, Alexander." John said with a grin. "Nice to meet you." Alex said with a cold tone. "Same to you." Francis smiled. Alex didn't like Francis. He was attractive, taller than him, and was close to John. But then again almost everyone was taller than him. "It was nice to see you again Francis." John said giving him another hug. Francis hugged back and John gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "See you later Freckles." Francis smiled. "It was nice to meet you Alexander." He said walking to one his many boxes. "You never told me about him." Alexander said while they walked back home. "Not a lot of people know about him." John said taking his key. "Surely the Schuylers know about him." Alexander reasoned. John just shook his head. "Nope. He's a family friend. Our parents always thought we would get married. But we're just friends." John told Alex. They walked inside and John sat down on the couch. Alex decided to forget about Francis. For now. "Cuddle with me John." Alex said sitting next to him. "I'm reading." John said. "John, reading Wattpad books isn't real reading." Alex said taking his phone. "Hey! Give that back." John pouted. "Nah I think I'll keep it." Alex said putting it down his pants. "Alex!" John gasped. "What? It's not in my boxers." Alex said pulling John close to him. "You're too much." John said. "I try." Alex said pulling John onto his lap. "I feel like I should give you a nickname." John said out of the blue. "You don't need to. Besides you call me Alex." Alexander said playing with his hair. "Yeah but everyone calls you Alex. I want to give you a special one." John explained. "Can I braid your hair while you think of a nickname?" Alexander asked. "You know how to braid?" John asked him. "Mhm." Alex hummed. "Who taught you?" John asked forgetting about giving him a nickname. "My dad. He would always put his hair in two braids and head off to work. One day I asked him to teach me, and now I know how to braid." He explained sectioning John's hair into two parts. John shrugged and began to think of nicknames.
"Can I call you pookie?" John asked.
"Absolutely not." Alex laughed
while finishing a braid.
"Babycakes?"
    "Maybe..." "
   "Lex?"
"Sure."
"Lexi?"
"Why not?"
"Boo bear?"
"Hmm.."
"Sugarplum?"
"I don't know about that one."
"Pudding?"
"That reminds me of Harley Quinn." Alex said finishing another braid. "Alexander we're not a part of the suicide squad." John giggled. "Why not? I'll be Joker and you'll be Harley Quinn. We'll kick ass and take names." Alexander explained. "Yeah okay." John said rolling his eyes. Alexander finished John's braids and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Thanks Pudding." John said turning around to face Alexander. "You're welcome babe." Alex said with a smile. The two of them cuddled together on the couch. Alex was talking about random things and John listened. He could listen to Alexander talk all day. Alexander could talk about the magic of glitter and John would listen. "So how long have you known Francis?" Alex asked. "We've been best friends since diapers." John said with a smile. "We were in the same classes up until eighth grade. Francis ended up going to a different highschool. But we stayed close." John rambled. Alex couldn't help but feel a little jealous. The way John talked about Francis made it seem as if they were together. "You two seem close." Alexander muttered. "He's like my brother. Now that we're neighbors we can talk just like old times. We'll be even closer." John said. Alexander nodded. He didn't really like the idea of them being so close. "But not super close right?" Alex asked. "What do you mean?" John asked sitting up. "You seem to really admire him." Alex stated. "Well yeah. He's my best friend." John said slowly. "Shouldn't I be your best friend?" Alex asked sitting up completely. "You are my best friend Alex. Francis and I are just really close." John said standing up from the couch. "How close is too close?" Alex asked. "He's like my brother I told you. Why do you care so much?" John asked arms crossed. Why was Alexander being so difficult? John had clearly stated that they were friends. Nothing more. So what was his problem? "I don't care. I just want to know about your relationship with him." Alexander tried to reason. "It sounds to me like your jealous." John said walking away. "I'm not jealous!" Alexander yelled. "Then why on Earth do you care so much about my relationship with him?!" John yelled back. "Because I don't want him to steal you away from me!" Alex shouted. "You don't even know him! How do you know he's going to steal me?! Francis doesn't even like me that way!" John yelled obviously frustrated with Alexander. He was judging some he didn't even know and he was starting to get on John's nerves. "You're right I'm sorry." Alexander said quietly. "It's okay." John sighed. Alexander opened his arms and John immediately gave him a hug. "I was too quick to judge." Alex said rubbing John's back. "No. I made it seem like Francis and I were an old married couple." John chuckled. "We'll be an old married couple one day." Alexander smiled. John hugged him tighter. I hope so. John thought.
