Whew, we made it to the end of Trade Mistakes! That took WAY too long to do, and I had to rewrite but I still love the story!
In case you didn't pick up on it, this was heavily inspired by Panic! At The Disco/Ryden/The Heart Rate Of A Mouse. I just really love those things and the lore and tones of those things so much, and I had an idea for an angsty one shot over a year ago and just why the fuck not?
By the end of this, I was so invested in their relationship and I wanted to make it feel real, so that meant it wasn't perfect and flawless the whole way through like Coffee Crushes. They were meant to feel like actual hurting human beings that had their own flaws. Roman over-romanticizes things and believed in perfection, which almost led to them going separate ways at the end of the tour. Virgil was unsure of himself and afraid, still hurting from the past actions of Roman in high school. It made it very hard for him to cope with De's affections and later the possibility that Roman would reciprocate them again.
So I'm sorry if I hurt your heart a lot but I hope you enjoyed this angsty ass story! I'll see you in the next one!!
