The car ride to his house was a very short journey. It's exactly what I expected. It would be silly to live far away from a place you practically live in.

His house however was definitely not what I expected. It was hidden behind strong iron gates and stood tall with its red brick and cream pillar exterior. The front door alone looked like it could swallow my bungalow up whole.

I gulp hard at the size of the place and can't help but feel slightly inferior. I noticed that we were driving in a Jag epace but only because my dad had this car and I loved it so much. I was never allowed to drive it though because I 'couldn't be trusted'. I hated that about my dad. He wouldn't even let me drive it up the road.

When we got out of the car, my head was still pounding. Those tablets hadn't really done much.

Adam bent into the back and unbuckled Elsie from her car seat and she jumped from the car and ran to my side.

"Can I show you my room?" She was so excited for me to be here.

"Of course sweetie. If that's ok with Uncle Adam?"

"You don't need to ask. Make yourself at home. Shall we give Sophia a tour of the house Elsie?" Elsie nods dramatically and we both chuckle.

The hall way was huge and very modern. The whole house had a modern feel to it and it definitely had a woman's touch here. It made me think again whether he was seeing anyone or...?

"This used to be my parents house until it was left to me in their will. I couldn't bring myself to sell it so Elsie and I moved in about three months ago. We haven't changed anything about it at all, including Elsie's room which really needs to be decorated for a little girl. Doesn't it Elsie?"

Elsie smiled a shy smile. I could see she didn't want to upset Adam but I have the feeling she's not overly happy with her room. It surprised me because she was so eager to show it to me.

It takes a while for the tour and I'm starting to forget where each room was. It was decorated beautifully and everything was very neat and tidy. I was frightened to move in some rooms which meant so was Elsie.

When we finally arrived at the bedrooms I was about to pass out. My head was killing me. I just wanted to sleep.

"My room!" Elsie was jumping into a room and I was stunned. It was just white and grey. Poor girl. She was living in a room that was created for adults and there wasn't even a single toy in here. I needed to speak to Adam. He has no idea what to do here and it's so obvious.

"It's a lovely room Elsie."

"I already know what your thinking and I would love your help to get it more suitable for a child Sophia." I beamed at Adam. Excited to help and see her face when I'm done. I don't care, I'll pay for it myself.

I was shown my room for the night and it was very similar to Elsie's and right next door. The only room I didn't see was his and I wondered if it too looked the same. It was the other side of Elsie's room.

I offered to get Elsie ready for bed while he made us a cup of tea. It would've taken two minutes but she looked like she could do with a bath and a good wash of her hair.

"Do you have any toys for the bath?" She shook her head and I looked around the room for anything but there were only some teddies on the bed.

"Maybe we can get some tomorrow? For today we'll give you a quick bath and get ready for bed." She ran into the bathroom and I was shocked at how big it was.

After a quick bath and washing her hair, I put her in some unicorn pyjamas that she said her mum bought for her. She seemed happy to wear them and couldn't stop telling me about what she would do if she found a unicorn.
