Adam's POV:
She actually had the nerve to show up at my door step. How many times do you have to turn someone down. We had coffee once and that was during a work break. It wasn't like I ever took her on a date. When the hell do I have time to bloody date?
"Jessica, what do you want?"
I hear a scuffle behind me and turn to see Elsie running out of the kitchen with Sophia on her heels. I can't help but smile at how much they like each other.
"Hey baby, thought you might want to grab breakfast before work today?" Is she serious? It's not even seven yet, plus I've already eaten.
I hear a screech and turn once again to see Sophia running up the stairs with Elsie. Don't blame her. If I could run away from this situation, I would too.
"What the hell is she doing here Adam?" Since when did I have to answer to her?
"Jessica, I don't know why you feel the need to come to my house at the crack of dawn or why you feel you can ask why I have guests in my house, but I would like to remind you that there is nothing going on with us. Never has and there never will. Now, please have a nice day and get off my property."
I try to shut the door but her hand slams into it, stopping me from closing it any further. I could push it, but I'm not an asshole.
"Let me just remind you that I was there for you when you lost your family Adam. You had no-one except for me." Really? She thinks she was there for me?
"You have got to be joking right? You tried to sleep with me constantly when I had just lost my family. You weren't there for me. You were after one thing and I wasn't giving it to you and I still won't because I'm NOT interested Jessica." I'm about to lose it if this woman doesn't leave me the fuck alone right now.
I watch as her arm drops in shock and I take it as my chance to shut the door in her face. Why must I have to deal with her on a daily basis? I don't think I've ever been so grateful for Sophia taking Elsie out of that nursery. It really is worrying me about what she saw. She never explained what she wasn't happy with in the nursery.
While I stand by the door and think about what I'm going to do with Elsie and child care,I hear Sophia talking to Elsie upstairs. I instantly remember my guest and how she might feel a little awkward with Jessica coming here and her going to speak to the educational board today.
I take the stairs two at a time to try and quickly put her at ease. As soon as I walk into the room, I see Sophia facing away from me with her hands in the air, pulling my top over her head. She's not wearing a bra.
"Oh shit!" I can't stop the words from leaving my mouth and then Elsie quickly reminds me of her presence in the room. Bollocks! I can't believe I've sworn in front of her again. At this rate she'll have most of the swear words engrained on her brain by the time she's five!
Sophia quickly bends to reach her bra off the radiator and I have to leave. Not only is she half naked but now she's showing me how tight those jeans are to her not so small bottom. I'm not complaining however I don't think she'd be happy if she turned and I was still there.
I take myself to my room and try to calm myself. Its been seven months since I last had sex. I don't think I've ever been this long and she's tempting me more than anyone ever has. My work is my life and so is Elsie now. I haven't been looking for a woman to fulfil any form of role and then in walks Sophia to my mess of a life and starts to turn things upside down.
She has no idea how much attention she gets from being the most innocent of women. Although, in saying that, she can show her angry side and it's hot as hell. Watching her read to the women on the ward yesterday just emphasised the size of her heart but I suppose I deserved what I got for teasing her about it. Her mother definitely found it amusing.
