9. Avoiding Dr. Ross

I can't believe this. Was he trying to cheat on Miss Jones with me? I would never! Oh but I was close to. How could I have been so blind? Of course a man as good looking and kind as him could have a girlfriend. Ive been on the other end of the cheating and I cannot believe I almost helped another cheat! What have I done?

I walk with Elsie in my arms into the room I was meant to stay last night. Putting her on the bed, I pick up my phone and quickly put on an episode of Peppa Pig we found on YouTube yesterday.

She takes the phone quietly and doesn't ask any questions which I'm grateful for. While she's busy, I quickly rush around her, getting myself dressed. I've managed my skinny jeans and I've just turned to face the wall, taking his top off over my head in the process. I'm about to put my bra on when Adam walks into the room.

"Oh shit!"

"Oh! Uncie Adam sweared!"

I can't even comprehend the fact that he swore I just want him out. I grab my bra and quickly put it on. I look over my shoulder to check if he's there but he's left, thank god for that.

I grab my top from the chair and put it over my head. I really need to stop wearing such baggy tops.

When I've finished, I quickly check my hair in the mirror and notice it's a mess. I find a bobble from my back and put it into a messy bun.

"Can mine be that?" I look at her for a second trying to work out what on earth she means when she points to my head and understanding dawns.

"Of course beautiful." I grab another bobble from my bag and show it to her. "Let's get you ready in your room."

She nods her head and leaves my phone on the bed. I quickly swipe it and lock the screen, stopping the noises from Peppa and George.

When we leave my room, Adam is nowhere to be seen. It only takes me a few minutes to get a pair of jeans for Elsie and a top. Once her hair is done and we look at each other in the mirror, I blush at the fact that she's looking very similar to what I have on. I didn't even notice!

"I'm like Fee-Fee!" She claps her chubby little hands and I can't help the giggle that escapes my mouth.

I here a knock at the door as I'm just putting her socks on and Elsie shouts for him to come in before I can say otherwise. I need to get out of this house. I can't believe he was in a relationship and flirting with me. What's worse is that I was flirting back! I can't believe it! I would never want someone to do that to me, but yet I've done it to someone else. Unintentionally, but I still did it none the less.

"Sophia could I talk to you please?" He's trying to be authoritative but there is no way in hell I'm going to listen to whatever excuse he has for his behaviour.

I stupidly make eye contact with him and I notice the slight anger behind those beautiful eyes of his. I bet he gets so many women with that face and body of his. I know I was close to jumping him last night and that's not like me at all.

"I don't think we have time Dr. Ross. You're going to be late if you don't get dressed quickly." I try to draw a professional line but he sees right through it.

"Sophia, I would just like to talk, but not in front of Elsie." He looks angrier now but I'm not backing down.

"Well, I'm afraid my main focus is Elsie at the moment. I will help you with her for today while I chase the education board and speak with the Chief of Medicine at the hospital. Things should settle at the hospital nursery then. I'd like to apologise for judging your girlfriends teaching capabilities but I'm still going to have to speak with people above her to discuss what I saw taking place in there."
