This was by far the toughest mission you had ever faced, and that was saying something considering you had spent the past 4 years in one of the toughest branches of the military.
As a U.S. Marine you had spent time overseas in some of the most dangerous places of the world, fighting for your life and the lives of others, all while in an unfamiliar terrain.  You had stared down the barrels of the guns of people who wanted to kill you but nothing had ever prepared you to do the hardest thing that you would ever have to do, attend your brother's wedding.
Apparently your twin brother had moved on from his previous wife Donna and was now marrying a new girl, Lila.
She had called you up 2 weeks ago and asked you if you could possibly attend their wedding and surprise Opie and your father. You were very hesitant considering the terms you and your family were last on but you agreed.
You were just about to be discharged after serving your term and you planned on moving back to Charming so you figured Ope's wedding would be a good place to start trying to mend broken relationships.
You had run away from home at 18 to join the Marines even after your father had forbid you to. He was an anarchist and refused to support the U.S. Government in any way and that included allowing one of his kids to join the armed forces. He wanted you to stay in Charming and find yourself an Old Man from the club all while working at TM.
Needless to say, you had different ideas and by going through with those you pissed of a few of the most important people in your life.
It didn't feel good but you refused to sit around and be some bar wench when you could be out there defending your country against the people that wanted to harm it.
You had gone straight from your base you'd been living at, after being discharged, straight to the airport in your uniform and all.
Before you boarded the plane you called Lila to tell her you were boarding before you got on the plane.
It turns out she was actually a really cool girl and you felt like you two might be good friends in the future, she even offered you a job at her studio doing the accounting, which you happily agreed to.
******Time Skip******
You squinted your eyes to the bright California sun as you walked out of the airport and started looking for Lila. She had sent you a picture of herself so that when this time came you would recognize her.
You looked to your left and saw her jumping up and down and waving her arms.
You smiled and started making your way towards her car with a grin on your face.
As soon as you were standing in front of her she shook your hand in greeting before speaking, not once losing the smile on her face.
"It's so nice to meet you, Ope has told me a lot about you." she said grabbing your bag in her hands and setting it in the back seat before you both got in the car.
"It's nice to meet you too and I wish I could say the same but you probably already know that story." you said causing both of you to chuckle as she pulled out of the airport parking lot and set off on her way  to Charming.
****Time Skip****
By the time you two had reached Charming you were laughing and talking like you were old pals. It felt really good knowing that  there would be someone at the wedding tomorrow who you hadn't screwed up your relationship with.
She had arranged for you to stay at a hotel about 30 minutes outside of Charming and she was going to come get you about an hour before the wedding.
After she had dropped you off you went inside and started to get ready for bed. You were tired and you had a feeling that you would need all of the rest you could get.
****Skip to the Wedding****
You and Lila were geniuses. You two had managed to sneak you into the wedding, go through the whole ceremony, and even got you into the reception without anyone recognizing you.
This was amazing considering you were around a whole bunch of bikers who communicated better than some of the squads that you have worked with.
The whole plan was for you to reveal yourself after Opie and Lila's first dance which was currently taking place.
You were sitting at a table in the corner of the venue nursing a beer as you watched your brother and his new wife spin in slow circles across the dance floor.
Seeing your brother look at Lila with as much love in his eyes as he did almost broke your damn heart.
It was then that you started to wonder how much you had missed out on these past 4 years.
You hear the song come to an end and then you heard clapping. This snapped you out of your daze you and looked up to see Opie and Lila taking a seat back at their table, right in front of the dance floor.
Lila looked at you and sent a wink your way before turning to Opie and saying something, causing him to nod as you both watched her walk away.
You took a deep breath before standing up and making your way to where Opie was sitting, smoothing your dress down nervously as you got closer.
He didn't notice you when you walked up to the table so you took a seat where Lila was sat, waiting for him to turn his gaze over to you.
When he finally caught wind of a form sitting next to him he swung his hazel eyes over to meet yours.
You heard a gasp leave his mouth and he stared at you a few moments before you both got up and embraced each other, tears pouring down your faces.
"I can't believe you came back." he sobbed into your shoulder, causing you to let out a sob of your own.
"Of course I did, I've gotta come back and take care of my family." you managed to croak out.
When you and Opie finally did break apart the look in his eyes almost ripped your heart from your chest.
"Everyone always told me you weren't coming back. I thought i'd never see you again. I missed you so much (y/n)." he said pulling you in for another bone crushing hug.
The lump in your throat got bigger as you buried your head into his shoulder.
"I know and I'm sorry I left you and dad Opie."
You both pulled away and wiped your faces free of tears before letting out a relieved laugh.
"How long are you here for?" he asked, his voice full of hope.
"I'm here for good. I've been discharged and I'm moving back to Charming." you said, beaming at the expression on his face.
He was about to reply when you heard someone call your name and you  both turned to see your father standing behind you two, staring in disbelief.
A new wave of tears hit you once you saw how happy he looked to see you.
"Hi Daddy." you tearfully replied as he came over and picked you up, spinning you around.
"My little girl! Oh, I have my baby girl back." he said putting you down and trying to wipe the tears from his eyes.
"Yes dad I'm back and I never plan on leaving you two again." you said pulling them both in for a hug.
You could hear everyone cheering and clapping but you couldn't care less.
All you cared about right now was the fact that your family was back together and you weren't going to let anything happen to either one of them.
