You had been on your feet none stop for 12 hours, today's work shift had really done you in. All you needed was a nice glass of wine and your bath tub. But it seemed as though the universe had other ideas because when you went to start up your car, nothing happened. "Oh for fuck sake!" You exclaimed as you banged your fist against the steering wheel.
You went to pull your phone out of your bag as fast as possible, but again the universe didn't want you to have it easy, so the contents of your bag ended up falling to the ground. "GIVE ME A BREAK!" You shouted, annoyed about the bad luck you've had.
"Woah, you okay lassie?" An older male asked in a thick Scottish accent. You looked up at the tall man, instantly noticing his scarred cheeks and warm eyes.
Just having a bad day." You said quite bluntly, not in the mood for conversation.
The man let out an infuriating laugh. "Car trouble? I can help?" He offered. "The names Chibs." He outstretched his hand to you with a smile on his face.
"Y/n" You replied with bluntness again, shaking his hand quickly. "It's fine, I can sort it."
Chibs began walking around the car, popping the hood once he got to it. "It's gone midnight, you ain't going to find anyone to come out, plus I work over at Teller-Morrow auto shop."
"Exactly it's 12am. I shouldn't be talking to random men late at night." You told him as you started picking up all of the things that had fallen out of your bag.
The older male smirked at you. "Okay, i get it." He turned and began walking away. As he slowly walked away, you realised his help would probably get you home faster. Besides, you knew he wasn't lying as you had heard of the shop he was talking about, it was around a mile away from the diner. "Wait!" You called to him.
Chibs stopped in his tracks, turning to walk back towards you. Once he reached you he smiled again. "I'll tell you what.. I'll take you home and get my guys to come work on the car in the morning, free of charge for the pretty lass."
You looked at him with a confused look on your face. "Why? I've been a bit of an asshole to you."
"We all have bad days, Y/n." The way he said your name made you melt a little inside. It sounded better with that thick scottish accent. Your face softened and you finally let a smile take over your lips.
"Come on, lets get you home." Chibs took your hand and lead you over to his bike.
"I can't get on that." You laughed, shaking your head at the motorcycle in front of you.
Chibs nodded. "Sure ya can. I'll keep you safe darlin'. Just hold onto me tight." Again, he gave you that beautiful smirk, the kind of smirk that could make a girl do anything.
