It was almost 2am, and you laid on your bed, fast asleep. Tigs, the guy you had been seeing for the last couple of months had told you he would be there around 10pm, and by the time it had gotten to midnight, you had fallen asleep, your glasses laying on the bed next to you, your book laying on your chest. The door to the bedroom slowly opened and Tigs poked his head in. When he saw you, he couldn't help but smile a little. He hadn't realized that his job with the club that night would take so long. As he walked inside, he closed the door as quietly as he could. At the sound of the door closing, it woke you up. Your eyes slowly opening and adjusting to the light.
"Sorry doll. Meeting kind of ran late." Tigs commented, as he took off his shoes, and put them tidily next to the closed bedroom door. You reached up and rubbed your eyes. You felt more tired now than you did before you fell asleep. You reached over for your phone, and turned it on. You were rather surprised when you saw what time it was.
"Jesus Christ Tigs! I wouldn't have cared if you went straight back to your place." You said without thinking. You closed your phone off, and chucked it onto your bedside table. You glanced up at him, and saw the hurt on his face from your comment. You let out a small sigh, and patted the bed next to you. A small smile appeared on his face, as he walked over to the bed and sat down next to you. You moved over a little, wrapped your arms around his waist and rested your head on his chest. You could hear his heart beating rather quickly, which made you smile a little.
"You know, I worry about you sometimes. Mainly when you're out doing jobs for the club." You explained. Most of the night you were worried that he would get hurt, or worse killed. Tigs had been the first guy in years that you dated, having a bad past with men before him. You had been a little sceptical about dating Tigs, but decided to give him a chance. Tigs leaned down and kissed the top of your head. Normally he wouldn't date outside of Croweaters, but when he first met you, he instantly knew he wanted to be with you, which was a strange thing for Tigs, since he was never one to settle down.
"I know baby, and you know that I can't leave the club. They're my family." Tigs explained, as his bright blue eyes met yours. That was the first thing you fell for when you met Tigs, his eyes. They had been the bluest you had ever seen in your life. You were almost 10 years younger than him, but that never bothered you. He treated you like you were the only girl in the room.
"I know. I just don't want to see you hurt." You whispered. He raised his hand to your face, and ran his thumb over your cheek. You closed your eyes at his touch, and you could feel your heart beating faster. "Right, you need to make it up to me for waking me up." You said, as you reached up, and planted a soft kiss on his lips. Tigs couldn't help but smile, as he wrapped his arms around your waist and lifted you onto his lap.
"It would be my honour." He commented, as held onto you tight, and moved so that you were laying on the bed underneath him. Your breathing started to quicken and you couldn't help but smile. You had been the happiest you had ever been in a long time.
