Ooh, let's play a game! Try to guess how old I am!

"Miss Y/N, it's time to get up. You're meeting the prince and the royal family today."

I opened my eyes to see Layla holding a light blue dress. "The royal family?" I asked sleepily, not processing what she said clearly. I closed my eyes again and pulled the covers over my head.

Layla sighed and pulled the covers off of me, making me groan. She then went over to the curtain and opened it, making sunshine seep through the window. "Wake up, Miss! You're going to be late if you don't!" she exclaimed.

At that, I opened my eyes and sat up, wide awake. "Late?" I said, pulling the covers off of me and rushing out the bed, almost tripping.

Layla chuckled as I rushed into the bathroom.

Fawn and Evelyn were waiting for me, holding some oil and towels. "Good morning, Miss," they both chorused, making me wonder if they planned it ahead of time.

"Good morning," I responded, cocking my head in confusion.

Fawn spoke up. "You're going to take a bath, Miss," she explained, seeing my confused face.

   "Oh," I said.

Layla came over to me and started to untie my nightgown, making me confused. One I was in my undergarments, she motioned me to take them off.

I hesitantly did so, immediately covering my lady parts. I smiled as Fawn gave me a  towel to cover myself.

"Thank you, Fawn. All of you, actually," I said shyly.

They all curtsied in response and nodded.

"Of course, MIss," Layla said, "it's an honor to serve you."

Evelyn led me to the tub, and I cautiously took the towel off and stepped into the huge tub.

"Does the water feel alright, Miss?" Fawn asked softly.

I laughed a bit, making her look sad. "Yes! This is the best bath I've ever taken!" I exclaimed, making her frowning face disappear instantly.

"Really?" she asked, giving me a bar of lavender soap.

I laughed again. "Yup! You don't really get these luxuries as a Six," I replied sheepishly, making her smile.

"Why, thank you, Miss," she whispered, backing away to give me privacy.

I happily scrubbed the lavender smelling soap on my body, making the room and me smell like the purple plant.

After the bath, I was drenched with scented oil, the substance making my skin smooth and slippery.

Layla came into the bathroom and gave me my clothes, and I put them on.

Evelyn zipped up the back of the dress, and Fawn proceeded to do my hair and makeup.

"You will look absolutely beautiful when you meet the prince," Fawn said, her stuttering gone.

I already met him, I thought, but I didn't say it out loud. "Well, I only look pretty because of your guys' talents," I stated matter-of-factly.

Fawn gasped. "Miss! That's not true!" she exclaimed, making me a little shocked.

"That's right," Evelyn said, "you look beautiful either way." She lowered her voice. "To be honest, you look more beautiful than most girls here," she whispered.

I chuckled and looked in the mirror, seeing my princess-like look. "Thank you," I said, smiling gently at the trio. "Thank you so much."

They all curtsied at me and ushered me out of the room. "Now go!" Layla said, laughing.

Le Time Skip

"Seriously?" Marlee shouted, making everyone in the room, including the prince, look at her.

"What?" America said calmly, crossing her left leg over her right.

"You-you told Prince Maxon those horrible things?" Marlee exclaimed, waving her arms in the air.

I rolled my eyes and looked at Maxon, who was speaking with a timid girl. Tiny.

"I can say what I want to say! You can't control me!" America countered.

I sighed and looked at the other contestants patiently waiting for their turn. I grabbed my teacup delicately and sipped a tiny bit, trying to look formal. It worked for the most part.

"Lady Y/N L/N, you're next," Sylvia said, motioning for me.

I nodded and stood up, dusting off the imaginary dust off my dress. I then picked up my teacup and walked over to Maxon, and he winked at me. I winked back.

"Why hello, Lady Y/N," he said, grabbing my hand and kissing it.

I giggled. "Hello, Prince Maxon. How are you this fine day?" I asked.

He smiled at my attempt to be royal. "I've been great, yo," he responded, waving his hands in the air.

I laughed. "Hey! I don't talk like that!" I said.

Maxon laughed, too. "And I don't talk like that!"

"Hey, at least I tried," I said, grabbing my teacup and trying to drink delicately again. Unfortunately, it didn't work out.

Maxon rushed over to me as I chocked on my tea, coughing uncontrollably. He patted my back softly and motioned for Sylvia to get water.

"I'm-" I coughed again. "I'm fine," I coughed out, making Maxon laugh.

"You don't look fine," he said. "I mean, you look fine, but not fine, you know?" he acquired, making me look at him.

Sylvia gave me a cup of water, which I accepted. I drank it hurriedly, and my choking stopped. "Well, that was embarrassing," I said. "That's what I get for trying to act formal."

I sat up straighter and pretended to drink a cup of tea for effect.

Maxon laughed again. "Y/N, my dear, you are one of a kind, you know that? You're special. A diamond in the rough. A four-leaf clover-"

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. I'm special," I said, smirking at him.

He ran his hand through his golden hair, making it a bit messy.

"Also," I said slowly, "can you not call me 'dear'? I've already experienced that name when I first stepped into the palace, and I'm kind of tired of it," I said

He cocked his head. "You know, you're the second girl today to ask me of that," he said, tapping his chin.

I smiled, automatically knowing who it was. "Well, I think she has a different reason than mine, right?" I asked.

He nodded, but his smile dropped when he saw Sylvia motioning for the next girl. He sighed and stood up, grabbing my arm.

I stood up, too, with his help.

"Well, dove, I'm afraid our time is up," he said sadly, making me smirk.

"Aw, is Maxon gonna miss me?" I said playfully.

He looked at me, a mischevious glint in his eye. "Yes, dove, I'm going to miss you very much. I hope you will miss me, too?" he said.

I smiled at him and curtsied when I saw the new girl coming towards us. "Of course."

"Until we meet again, Lady Y/N."

"Until we meet again, Prince Maxon."
