Chapter 4

Your POV

You bid goodbye to your friend as you both parted ways and continued on searching for your new friend target.

After an hour or so, you tiredly sat on another hotel roof sighing.

Out of the corner of your eyes, you saw what appears to be an egg in a cute suit and a top hat with a crack on its 'head' and you floated towards it.

You didn't know if it was a demon or what but it seems unconcious, not dead thankfully.

You find it cute as you held it in your arms.

You noticed a number on its back that said # 47 which made you confused. Are there more of them?

You didn't know but hey, now you got a pet or somethin, perhaps even a friend!

You flew all the way to home with it and to your tree.

You softly set it down on your bed of cotton and (F/f) as you went on your shelf that's basically a twisted trunk and took out one of the colorful band aids you have since you got a knack of collecting them and putting them on just because you think they're cute.

You got a blue one with little ducklings on it and giggled as you put it over the egg's cracked head and kissed it before putting a woven blanket made out of cotton on top of it to keep them warm from the cool forest air.

You went down your tree to pick out some nice fruits and set them aside in a small wooden bowl.

And mind I tell you that some of these trees have eyes on them as you greeted them smiling as they seem to smile back with their eyes. Its weird but in a cute way.

Picking out fruits didn't took you too long as you headed back up your tree to find them sitting up looking around in awe and confusion.

"Oh! I see that you've woken up! How do you feel?" You asked them as you placed the bowl of fruits in front of them.

"Golly! I feel a lot better than earlier, thank you! Gee, is this heaven? Also, you smell nice!" They responded.

You awed and giggled at their adorableness.

"Thank you, and nope! Still in hell my friend! This is my tree! I saw you on a hotel rooftop unconscious and decided to help you and bring you back home. Here, you might as well have a little snack." You offered, your smile never faltering as you kneeled in front of them.

"Well aren't you just the nicest demon! Thank you! What's your name young lady?" He asked as he took a grape.

"My! Where are my manners? I'm Y/n the Garden Demon, pleasure meeting you, petal!" You held out a vine for them to shake their little hand on.

"And I'm Eggboi # 47!" They replied and you nearly exploded as they shaked hands with your vine but managed to keep it in.

"That sounds a little too experimental, how bout I call you... Sunny! Yeah! I like that! Like a sunflower.. Or a sunnyside up if you will." You giggled once again as they smiled widely being given a name, not caring if the other meaning could be them cracked open into a hot pan as food.

"Gee that sound s'well!" They laughed with you.

You two talked for a while until a thought came into you.

"Hey by the way, how'd you end up in that rooftop anyway?" You asked tilting your head curiously.

"Oh! Boss' machine kinda exploded because of a redheaded demon with one eye and I ended up there, I kinda blacked out after that." He shrugged.

"That must've been Cherri Bomb. I've heard her on the news earlier." You said.

"But anywho, you said something about a 'Boss'? Well, do you wanna go back?" You asked getting slightly upset that someone has already beaten you on having him.

"Oh yeah! My Boss is great, tho he can sometimes be scary, he's still the best!" You smiled at his innocence.

"Tho I don't know how to go back..." He looked down sadly. You frowned at this, you didn't want your new friend to be sad and so you stood up and told him.

"I'll bring you back! Just tell me where to go and I'll bring you right in!" You smiled.

"But before you go.." You crouched down and healed his crack as it went back to normal.

"There you go! Good as new!" And with that, you took him in your arms and floated off.

"Where to?" You asked looking down at him having the biggest smile on his face as he looked down Pentagram City.

Snapping out of his daze, he told you where to go and so you went.

You two ended up in the dark alley from earlier where the snake demon had disappeared and you tilted your head in confusion.

"Thanks a lot for helping me!" Sunny told you as you place him down on the ground.

"You're always welcome, Sunny!" You smiled down at him.

"Will I be seeing you again?" You asked a little upset that you two had to depart so soon.

"I hope so! Maybe I can talk to boss about it and he'll let me visit you!" You sweatdropped at his innocent offer.

"That.. Doesn't sound safe. My home is way too far and its barely inside the border of the city. Demons could get to you." You told him frowning.

"Now don't be sad! I'm sure I'll find a way somehow!" He said trying to cheer you up.

"Can I at least have a one-probably-last-hug?" You asked smiling sadly as you floated down with your arms wide open.

He jumped at your embrace and as you finally let go, you watched him sadly but also curiously disappear into the shadows.

And with that, you finally went home to retire for the day and man was it long and interesting.
