Chapter 16

Your POV

Alastor and I did quite a few 'hunts' before playing around like we usually do back then.

Right now we were playing hide and seek in the forest and right now, Al is it.

"Oh (Y/n/n)~! Where are youuu~?" He looked around calling out in his am radio singsong voice making me wanna giggle.

"I'm impressed! You're getting good at this!" He said with a proud smile sniffing the air trying to track down my scent.

Jokes on him I've been hanging out too much on the city that I'm used to taking off my scent so I won't get recognized by the demons.

Right now I'm hiding on a bush right beside him camouflaging on my surroundings trying hard not to make a sound or giggle.

'He's so close and he doesn't even know!' I thought grinning widely, a cheshire cat would've been jealous.

He sighed slumping his shoulders a little before beaming up again and announcing those phrases I've been waiting to hear every time he would find me.

"Alright, you beat me. Where are you fawn?" He asked grinning.

I jumped out of my hiding place startling him a little as I quickly floated in front of him excitedly.

"Oh my gosh! Did you see that!? I beat you! I managed to beat YOU! And you've been looking for me for an hour and a half!" I floated happily.

He chuckled before patting my head.

"Heheh, you did! I'm proud of you dear~" he said only making me even more happier.

We played around for a little bit more before I finally got bored and wanted to bake cookies with him for a snack so we went back to his home, phasing through the door, not tangling my vines on the metal knob this time.

I took out the flour, eggs, bowls, tray and all the other tools we'll need while he took out the jar of blood, chocolate chips, butter and sugar along with preparing the counter.

We played around the kitchen making quite the mess of flour everywhere just joking and laughing.

We put the tray of dough in the preheated oven and started cleaning up after our mess.

"I'll gather the herbs for our tea!" I suggested as I went through the wooden wall towards my garden where I put and grow all kinds of herbs and spices and whatnot.

As I travelled/floated, a metal cage suddenly came down from above me making me squeak in surprise.

"We got 'er boys!! The all known and mighty Garden demon!" A gruff voice called out from above me.

"It will be a great killing machine and pet for anyone who wants it." The other one spoke.

I looked up between the tiny gaps of the metal screen outside the cage to see a pirate parrot demon thing and a bat demon.

"Excuuuuuse me!" I started sassily.

"Yes?" The bat says before getting smacked upside down the head of the parrot one.

"First of! I'm not an 'it' you rude alive poultry!" I said irritatedly.

The parrot glared at me before laughing. The bat just looked confused. I heard a few people laughing as well, that's when I noticed skeletons. Pirate skeletons. Wha?

"Oi lassy! Careful what you say there! Yer the one's caged in." He barked. Or in his case, squawked.

I rolled my eyes about to just phase through the dirt and grass when I noticed that the cage somehow closed the bottom making me widen my eyes before looking back at him seeing his smirk.

I huffed before using my vines to hit the metal door harshly making the bat flinch and squeak but not the parrot.

"Yer attempts are futile ya lil missy! That cage is Garden demon proof!" He laughed making loud parrot laughing noises making me wince.

I looked around the cage trying to find something that I might use to escape. The screen from the outside this metal cage is making it impossible for me to slither my thick vines out nor my petals  out. I can release my scent to stun them or better, make them fall unconcious. But what then after? I gritted my teeth growling at him.

Suddenly, chains with hooks came down from the sky as some of the few pirate skeletons clung onto them while the parrot and the bat stayed where they at on top of my 'cage' as they connected four chained hooks on each corner of the cage before I felt it lifting up making me panic.

I would've screamed for Alastor but I am quite away from him not sure if he'll hear me.

As I descended towards the sky, that's just when I noticed a black floating ship.

'Screw it!' I thought before inhaling and yelling out.

"ALLY HELP!!!!" I screamed towards the forest before I was finally brought in on the ship.

I just hope he heard me.
