Chapter 19

Third persons view

You woke up with a start as you remembered what had happed yesterday giving your almost permanent carved small smile a boost.

You looked to the side to see your treemate still dead asleep, probably still tired from last night's events. I mean even you yourself were quite tired from all of the activities.

Al went back to work after his little break yesterday and the two of you had a blast! Not feeling like hunting or making breakfast at his home, you floated towards the nearest café.

It was still quite early as everyone were either having a nice morning stroll while the others are enjoying their coffee, surprisingly not drinking alcohol for breakfast, and others still probably in their bed.

Without much thought, you decided to actually walk this time, wanting to exercise your legs at least a little.

You neared the café and thought of what you wanted to order before just going for (F/b(favorite breakfast)).

You opened the door making a small ding as the door hit the small bell.

You went in the counter to see a small demoness with black hair and a black and white ears, pale white skin with a pink rosy natural blush on her cheeks and a set of three randomly placed glowing blue flowers sticking out and adorning the crown of her head, with her eyes closed as she smiles at you warmly.

"Good mornin! What would ya like to order?" She said lazily yet somehow cheerfully. How can she even see right now?

"Oh uhh I would like a (F/b(favorite breakfast)) with (M/b(morning beverage(s)) please." You replied to her as she went to write it down before looking at you.

"Is that all?" She asked, you nodded a response before you realized that she probably can't see or something, panicking aside, she seems to understand anyway.

"Alrighty! I'll go fetch your order while you go on and take your seat." And with that, she went to the back.

You went outside to take your seat on the tables that were placed outside and sat by the flowers on the window.

It was a cute café not gonna lie and the demons seems nice. You were glad that this never seems to be obliterated by the demons doing their things, whether it be a turf war, just egging the place for the heck of it, or just because they can.

Even the other demons seem to like the small café.

A few minutes later, your order came and it smells delicious, you can probably smell it from far away!

"Here you go! Have a nice meal." And with that, you payed as she went back to her post.

You didn't saw earlier when she was behind the register but now you noticed her long two fluffy tails that were the same color as her ears.

You didn't pay too much thought about it and went to take a bite to your food.

You're definitely going to be a regular here and you might as well befriend the nice small demoness later.

But that'll have to wait, you wanted to visit a few people first.

After you finished your meal, you headed for Latty's home... Only to see that she's still busy eating her breakfast. So you left as to not disturb her since she doesn't like being interrupted while eating.

And so you went to visit Alastor.

You stopped in front of the building that's apparently called the Happy Hotel for demons wanting to go through redemption and pass the heaven's gates.

You took a breath and knocked a rhythmic tune just because you're in a happy mood like usual, keeping your smile, you waited for someone to open the door.

Footsteps were heard and the door swung open with a happy looking blond princess. Until she saw that it was you and squeaked before closing the door.

You heard her call to someone saying that the Garden Demon is here and a small panic of what to do and another voice that exclaimed 'what!? Again!?' back to her. You chuckled. But what do they mean 'again'? Is it because of Al—

And your thoughts were interupted by a happy like usual looking red radio deer demon swinging the door wide open.

"(Y/n)!! What a wonderful surprise! Didn't know that I would be seeing you here so soon!" He said as he engulfed you in a hug twirling you guys around and putting you down.

"Come in! I'll show you to the others!" He said as the two of you walked further in being stopped by a spear to your neck and a startled squeal from you as you whacked the spear away with your vines through your startled reflex of defending yourself as you jumped back and went behind Al who only chuckled.

"Alastor what the hell!?!? What's a perra asesina doing in here of all places!?" She grumbled pulling out a dagger and going into a fighting position. Dafuq did she pull that from!?

"If you're planning something stupid, know that I'm not gonna let you." She glared at you. You were half amused yet half upset since these are probably Al's friends and your outside reputation is making you look bad. She even called you a murderous bitch! Well that stung... You thought.

Al noticed you were being quiet and curiously peeked down at you to see you slightly frowning. This of course also made him upset because he knew you and only wanted to visit a friend and meet that friend's friends! And this isn't exactly the nicest of greetings you could get.

With a sigh, he stepped aside. Even the princess noticed your sad frown and whispered to the moth girl to maybe calm down and let me speak. Alastor cleared his throat before speaking.

"Dear Vaggie, this is the friend of mine that I have been telling you and the others about. And she isn't here to cause havoc as you say. She isn't one to do so without a reason." He said looking down at Vaggie sternly.

"And I was the one to tell her to visit so she can meet you and the others since she's usually alone now that I work here. She's the one that I told you that is like my little younger sister." He explained giving Vaggie a look before looking towards you.

Vaggie looked shocked for a moment until the princess stepped in front of her looking at you with an emotion you can't quite put down.

"Oh geez, I'm so sorry! We didn't mean to upset you like that!" She said looking guilty.

Vaggie on the other hand look suspicious yet also kinda guilty and sighed.

"Sorry, its just, its hard to trust people around.. The name's Vaggie." She said, finally putting away the dagger.

You smiled sadly at this, they were being sympathetic about you and now you just feel... Well, down.

"I-It's alright... I get where you're saying. I don't exactly have the cleanest of reputation out there... I'm (Y/n), pleasure meeting you." You chuckled dryly and forced a smile to not be rude.

"I'm Charlotte, but call me Charlie. I'm the manager of this hotel! Come and meet the others!" Charlie told you as she went further in the hotel.

You went to follow her but not after picking Vaggie's spear that you accidentally hit away and gave it to her.

"Sorry about doing that earlier, I just got startled by you. I hope we can restart, I'm not really all what I seem outside and what sinners claim me to be." And with that, you followed Charlie with Al behind you like the brother he is making sure no one do that again.... And not have a certain pink and white spider touch you.
