I Get What I Want

Lea's POV

I found myself kissing the man inside my car. I reminded myself that this is Gok. My not-so-favorite SSC president way back in high school. The man who insulted me for kissing another man in public. And here I am french kissing him inside my car! Yet even with all the reminders, my mind also told me, "Yes, this is Gok. So what?"

Then the kiss ended.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." Kumalas ito at napasuntok sa manibela.

Naguguluhan ko itong tiningnan.

"You're sorry coz you kissed me?"

Lumingon ito.

"No. I mean hell, no. I'm not sorry for kissing you. I'm just sorry because I was impulsive. I lost control. Hindi na mauulit." Apologetic na sabi nito.

"Hindi na?" Kunot-noong tanong ko dito.

What the hell is wrong with my questions?

"No! I mean look, I'm sorry, Lea. Promise, the next time I'll kiss you, hindi lamang ako ang may gusto. I'll make sure that you enjoy it as much as I do." He looked so serious habang sinasabi ang mga katagang iyon.

Nakanganga lamang ako habang nakatingin dito. E-enjoyin ko talaga?

"Tss. Close that damn mouth or I'll kiss you again." Pananakot nito.

Bigla naman akong natauhan kaya tinikom ko na ang aking bibig.

"Gago ka talaga. Tara na nga! Gumagabi na." I folded my arms and looked outside.

Narinig ko ang mahinang tawa nito.

Napaka-unpredictable talaga ng taong ito. Di ako dapat nagtitiwala dito eh.

Hindi ko na ito kinausap pagkatapos ng kissing scene namin. Kinalikot ko na lamang ang aking cellphone. Ititext ko nga pala si Kuya na baka bukas ay matatapos na naming ayusin lahat ng gamit sa bahay.

"We're here." Anunsyo nito at lumabas ng kotse.

Umikot ito at pinagbuksan ako ng pinto.

"Thanks." Nagpasalamat man ay aburido pa rin ako dito.

"Hey, are you mad at me again?" He gently lifted my chin.

"No." I said while looking at the other side.

"Sorry na. Nadala lang talaga ako kanina. Promise, I'll kiss you again next time."

What the?!

Pinandilatan ko ito. Di ko alam kung seryoso ba siya o ano. Nababaliw na nga siguro kaming dalawa.

I can see his eyes sparkle under the moonlight. Medyo dim ang ilaw dito sa parking lot pero dahil maliwanag ang buwan ay kitang-kita ko ang pangingislap ng mga mata nito. Natatawa ba siya?

"Anyway, I'll fetch you here tomorrow. Let's have breakfast at my place. Okay?"

"Tss." Pang-gagaya ko sa favorite expression nito.

"Silly. Pumasok ka na. Goodnight! I'll see you tomorrow!" He patted my arm bago umalis.

I watched him disappear into the darkness. I let out a heavy sigh bago pumasok sa hotel.

I glanced at my watch. It's half past 10. I think it's not that late for a drink.

I went to the resto and decided to order some drinks. I just want to clear my mind dahil nalilito ako sa mga pangyayari.

Hindi ko type si Gok. He's not my type! Paulit-ulit na sigaw ng isip ko.

Well, noon yun, Lea! Look at him now. Come on.. He's not that bad looking either! Sigaw naman ng isang parte ng isip ko.
