I Get What I Want

Kabanata 12

Bumalik ako sa hotel para sa dinner namin ni Ate Jessy. Naligo muna ako dahil amoy araw at lupa na ako. 7 PM kami magkikita ni Ate Jessy sa lobby ng hotel kaya nagbabad muna ako sa bath tub ng mga kalahating oras.

I am wearing a white boho dress na tinernohan ko ng flat sandals. I blow dried my hair to complete my boho look. Sobrang tuwid kasi ng buhok ko kaya minsan gusto ko'ng ipakulot ito. I did not wear makeup aside from lip tint. I just can't go without it on.

Bumaba na ako ng lobby at nagpasyang doon na hintayin si Ate Jessy dahil di ko pala nakuha ang number niya. Maraming guests ang resort ngayon kaya nakaka-aliw ang paligid. May bandang tumutugtug sa lobby kaya hindi ako na-bored sa paghihintay.

"Hi, Lea! Kanina ka pa? I'm sorry, am I late?" Ngiting sabi nito sabay upo sa tabi ko.

Umiling ako. "No, Ate. It's fine. I just got here, too. Naaliw ako sa tugtug eh." I said while looking at the singer. The singer was really good.

Tumabi ito sa akin at nakinig sa banda. The band was singing a very familiar song. It's an old love song ng bandang England Dan & J.F. Coley. I swayed my body along with the beautiful melody of the song and sumabay na rin kami sa pagkanta. Nilingon ko si Ate Jess at sabay kaming ngumisi. Paborito rin pala nito ang England Dan.

I feel so good while singing. I feel comforted.. I feel light and happy. Sumabay ulit kami sa pagkanta.

We were giggling nang matapos ang kanta.

"Maka-England Dan ka rin pala, Ate Jess?" Excited kong tanong sa kanya.

"Ay, oo naman! Their songs are timeless!" Masayang sabi nito.

"Exactly, diba? Ang sarap pakinggan. Alam mo yung feeling na para kang inlove kahit di naman?" Tumawa ako.

"Owz? Di nga ba? You look blooming and happy."

"Well.." I remembered Gavin. Di ko pa pala sya natatawagan. "I am happy. Maybe I'm just happy to be back here after a long time." I smiled at her.

"Welcome back, then! Come on, let's party tonight!" She said happily at hinila ako paalis sa lobby ng resort.

We went strolling along the line of restaurants. Hindi kami makapag-decide dahil puro masasarap na pagkain ang specialty nila. We were also entertained by the beautiful lights and groups of guests na nagbo-bonfire. Finally, we decided to dine at a kambingan restaurant.
