Chapter 35

Harry's POV

Walking inside the school might just have been the hardest thing I've done in the past couple of weeks, and I've been through a lot of pain in the last few weeks, but nothing compares to this, this place, it was the start off it all, here I met Simon, I still remember seeing him here for the first time, where I was, what I thought, I never want to forget that day, 

But this place is also the place that everything fell apart, Simon was ripped away from me, just like that, no warning, no sign of anything, I had no idea what had happened until the day after, and then I had not yet known about Simon. 

I stand still as the door closes behind me, I see the announcement board that is the first thing you walk up to as you enter, I see most off my classes have been put into new classrooms, obviously, a part of the school had exploded, so all the classes from there had to be moved somewhere else. 

"Haz, do you need my help, or are you good?" Tobi asks me as he walks in behind me with my backpack, I just shake my head as he helps me by holding one of my crutches while I put the backpack on. 

"just let me know if you want to go home early, I will drive you, OK" he tells me as he pats my shoulder, I just nod, not to sure what to even do now, I dont even want to be here, I see some of my classmates walking together towards where our first class is going to be and I just follow them slowly, I see other kids with injuries as I get to my classroom and I just stop, I don't want to be here, I want to go home, I don't think I'm ready for this yet, I can't focus on anything, how the hell am I meant to study when all I want to do is curl up into a ball in my bed and think about Simon, but I guess that is not very healthy. 

I turn around, prepared to walk back down the hall when I see him.

Simon is there.

 I want to rush over, but he shakes his head and I hear his voice in my head. 

"you need to do this, you need to do this for you" 

"but I don't want to do anything without you" I whisper

"I know you don't my love, but you need to, I got to hear your goodbye to me, and now I need to give you a goodbye back"

"please don't say goodbye, I don't want you to say it" I say as the tears stream down my face

"I love you Harry, and I'm sorry I left you, I never wanted to leave you, I hope you know that, the only thing that I wanted to do was to save you."

"Simon, don't" I just whisper, but I know its no use, this is all in my head 

"Harry, you know I loved you, so very much and I will always be here with you, right here" Simon smiles as he points to his heart and whispers again "right here" before he goes, never to be seen again.
